Description
Remi is a beautiful 13-week-old female AKC-registered chocolate Labrador Retriever looking for her forever home. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been well cared for. Remi has a very sweet, friendly personality and gets along great with other dogs. She is already learning basic commands like “sit” and is making good progress with leash training and “down.” She’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who enjoys learning and being around people. According to her breeder, Remi showed the strongest natural hunting instincts in her litter, making her a great candidate for an active home, hunting companion, or someone who enjoys outdoor activities. Due to a recent change in work schedule requiring frequent travel, we’re unable to give her the time and consistency she deserves. We’re looking for a loving, committed home where she can continue to grow and thrive.
Items Included: AKC registration, leash, collar, small travel kennel

Overview:
The Labrador Retriever, a beloved and highly popular breed, originated in Newfoundland, Canada, where they were initially bred to assist fishermen by retrieving nets and stray fish. Physically, they are medium-to-large dogs, known for their strong, athletic build, short, dense, weather-resistant double coat (commonly seen in black, yellow, or chocolate), and their distinctive "otter" tail. Temperamentally, Labs are celebrated for their friendly, outgoing, and good-natured disposition, making them exceptional family companions. Their intelligence and eagerness to please contribute to their trainability, though they do require consistent exercise to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. While adaptable, their energy levels make them more suited to homes with yards, or highly active families, rather than apartment living, unless daily extensive exercise is guaranteed. Regarding health, Labs can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, and some eye conditions, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. Overall, their loyalty, versatility, and affectionate nature firmly establish the Labrador Retriever as a wonderful addition to many households.
