Description
Pick of the letter female last one left. 3 spots was largest at birth and has not been chosen cuz she’s usually exploring while the others were nearby and got chosen first. She shows the same courage and intensity her mother and father do in the field. She’s potty trained and used to kennel at night. Learning to walk on lead and beginning to retrieve. She’s a good swimmer and gets lots of opportunity at our pond. She’ll be ready to hunt in the fall or be a great companion.
Items Included: Current on vaccination schedule and health certificate available from vet. We treat for ticks and keep them clean. LItter registered with AKC so pedigree available from both parents. The dam or mother is on site.

Overview:
The German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) is a versatile and elegant sporting breed, originating in 19th-century Germany where it was developed for hunting various game. Physically, GSPs are known for their athletic build, sleek coat (typically liver or liver and white), and intelligent, expressive eyes. They possess a strong, muscular physique that enables them to excel in diverse activities. Temperamentally, GSPs are energetic, intelligent, and highly trainable, making them excellent companions for active individuals or families. Their loyal and affectionate nature means they thrive on human interaction, but their high energy levels necessitate ample daily exercise to prevent boredom or destructive behaviors. While adaptable, their need for space and activity generally makes them less suitable for small apartment living unless their exercise requirements are exceptionally well-met. Regarding health, GSPs are a relatively robust breed, though they can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, and certain cancers. Responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups are crucial for maintaining their well-being.
