Description
Elite K-9 & Scent Work Prospect: Meet Grizzly! Breed Experience Required | Working, Sport, or Professional Home Only Hi there! I’m Grizzly, a high-energy, incredibly smart boy looking for a dedicated owner or handler who can channel my intense drive, focus, and exceptional intelligence into a true purpose. My sense of smell is next-level; I possess an intense, unwavering focus when tracking a scent and a natural instinct for specialized detection. With my exceptional nose, confident drive, and never give up attitude, I am an ideal candidate for professional work, with the raw potential to excel as an arson detection dog, narcotics dog, Search and Rescue canine, or a full police canine. Don't let my intense working drive fool you—I have a remarkably balanced, gentle side. I'm fantastic with puppies and excel as a foster parent, showing incredible patience and a nurturing nature when helping raise the little ones. Once off the clock and bonded with my people, I am a total lap dog who loves deep affection and cuddle time. I’m already crate trained, house trained, and an excellent car traveler who loves hitting the road. Because of my extreme drive and enthusiasm, I need a specific environment to thrive. I'm best in an adult-only environment, as I can be a bit too much for young children or elderly individuals, even though I try my best to be careful. I get along well with dominant female dogs and puppies. As for house cats, I have a healthy respect for them and know to keep my distance. I'm fully vaccinated, up to date on routine dewormings, and already neutered. My adoption fee is three hundred dollars, with an adoption contract required.

Overview:
The American Staffordshire Terrier, often affectionately called an "AmStaff," is a breed with a fascinating history, originating in 19th-century England and later refined in the United States. Physically, they are medium-sized, muscular, and agile dogs, known for their powerful build and distinctive wide smile. Their short, stiff coat comes in a variety of colors and patterns. In terms of temperament, AmStaffs are generally intelligent, confident, and highly loyal to their families. They possess a strong desire to please and can be quite affectionate. While they can make excellent family companions and often get along well with children, early socialization and consistent training are crucial due to their strength and inherent protective instincts. They are adaptable and can thrive in various living situations, including apartments, as long as they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. Health-wise, they are generally robust, but some individuals may be prone to hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain heart conditions.
