Description
Meet Saben, our handsome charcoal male Labrador Retriever with a gentle, sweet, and extremely affectionate personality. He is fully vaccinated and comes with American Kennel Club (AKC) registration papers. Saben loves being around his people and is wonderful with kids. He spends time both indoors and outdoors and behaves very well inside the home. He is incredibly affectionate and loves attention—he will happily try to crawl right into your lap to cuddle and be close to you. Saben can be a little nervous around new people at first, so he would do best with a patient and understanding family willing to give him time to adjust and feel comfortable in a new environment. Once he feels safe and secure, his loving, loyal personality truly shines. We are looking for a calm, supportive, and loving forever home where Saben will receive the patience, affection, and care he deserves. He would make a wonderful companion for someone willing to give him the time and reassurance he needs to settle in. There is no adoption fee. Our only priority is finding the right home for him. If you feel Saben may be a good fit for your family, please reach out and tell us a little about the home you can provide.

Overview:
The Labrador Retriever, a beloved and highly popular breed, originated in Newfoundland, Canada, where they were initially bred to assist fishermen by retrieving nets and stray fish. Physically, they are medium-to-large dogs, known for their strong, athletic build, short, dense, weather-resistant double coat (commonly seen in black, yellow, or chocolate), and their distinctive "otter" tail. Temperamentally, Labs are celebrated for their friendly, outgoing, and good-natured disposition, making them exceptional family companions. Their intelligence and eagerness to please contribute to their trainability, though they do require consistent exercise to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. While adaptable, their energy levels make them more suited to homes with yards, or highly active families, rather than apartment living, unless daily extensive exercise is guaranteed. Regarding health, Labs can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, and some eye conditions, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. Overall, their loyalty, versatility, and affectionate nature firmly establish the Labrador Retriever as a wonderful addition to many households.
