Romo came into our lives at a time of deep heartbreak. Our family had just lost our first American Bulldog, and the grief was so heavy that I couldn’t even imagine welcoming another puppy. My husband insisted that we bring this new boy home, and that single decision changed everything.
From the moment Romo arrived, he restored all of the love and laughter we thought we had lost. He brought joy back into our home in an unforgettable way, which is why we named him Romeo—because he truly was love in dog form.
Romo was an exceptional family dog with a natural protective instinct for our children. He watched over them faithfully, yet welcomed their friends with playful enthusiasm. One of his favorite tricks was teaching himself to climb the ladder of our backyard playground and slide down the slide with the kids, over and over, just to be part of their fun.

Sassafrass, lovingly called Sassy, was my favorite puppy from one of our recent litters. She was quickly chosen by a family, and like all of our bulldogs, she left with a standing promise: if her family ever couldn’t keep her for any reason, she would always have a place to come back to. I am deeply committed to ensuring that nothing I produce ever ends up in a shelter or without a safe home.
Seven months later, I received a devastating call from Sassy’s owner. She shared that her husband had become abusive toward her, their child, and the puppy, and that she and her child would be entering a shelter within hours. If I wanted Sassy, I needed to come immediately. I dropped everything, drove an hour, and brought Sassy home.
