Romo came into our lives during a time of deep heartbreak after we lost our first American Bulldog. I wasn’t ready for another dog, but my husband brought home this puppy who changed everything. Romo restored the love and laughter in our home, which is why we named him Romeo—he truly was love in dog form.
He grew into an exceptional family dog with a natural protective instinct for our children, yet he welcomed their friends and loved to play. Romo even taught himself to climb the ladder of our backyard playground and slide down with the kids, just to be part of their fun.
Romo was highly obedient, eager to please, and lived with no known health issues. His temperament was steady, affectionate, intelligent, and reliably gentle. Though we tragically lost him to a snake bite shortly before this litter was born, his legacy lives on through these puppies, who carry his loyalty, joyful spirit, and wonderful family‑dog qualities.

Sassafrass, “Sassy,” was my favorite puppy from a recent litter. She left with the same promise I give every buyer: if they ever can’t keep their bulldog, that dog always has a home with me. Seven months later, her owner called in crisis—she and her child were entering a shelter after abuse, and Sassy needed to be picked up immediately.
I dropped everything, drove an hour, and when I arrived Sassy ran straight to me, stood on her hind legs, and wrapped me in a hug. That remains her signature greeting; she loves to stand up and hug her people. At home, she lives with a very bossy French Bulldog who frequently tries to challenge her. Sassy never responds with aggression—she calmly places a paw on Frenchie to stop the nonsense and waits for me to step in.
Sassy is incredibly affectionate, extremely obedient, and remarkably gentle. We kept her forever and chose her for Romo’s final litter. These puppies clearly reflect her loving, conflict‑avoiding, people‑focused temperament.
