Description
Hi everyone. I am looking to rehome my purebred, 5-year-old Siberian Husky (comes with full paperwork). He is an incredibly stunning, strong-willed dog who desperately needs a home that can give him more time, space, and undivided attention than I currently can. The Full Transparency: He has a strong "alpha" personality and will need a confident handler. Sadly, he has survived two separate pit bull attacks in his past. Because of this trauma, he has developed some resource/territory guarding and can show aggression or bite when someone enters his space. He is not a turnkey family pet right now. He needs proper, patient rehabilitation and dedicated training. If you have experience with the breed, understand dog trauma, and have the time to help him heal and learn boundaries, please reach out.
Items Included: Current Vaccination, dog food

Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
