Litter Description
The Heart & Home Litter includes ten beautiful Bordoodle puppies who are 75% Poodle and 25% Border Collie. Each puppy is being raised in the middle of everyday family life, where they receive daily handling, attention, play, and age-appropriate experiences. These puppies have been gently handled and played with by our three-year-old, so they are already becoming familiar with laughter, toys, quick movements, household sounds, and the joyful chaos that comes with young children. They are also bathed and groomed weekly to help them develop positive associations with brushing, bathing, paw handling, and routine coat care. Even at four weeks old, each puppy is beginning to show an individual personality. Some are bold and adventurous, some are thoughtful observers, some are spirited and active, and others would rather curl up for a cuddle. Their personalities will continue to develop as they grow, learn, and experience more of the world. At seven weeks old, every puppy will complete the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test. This evaluation will give us additional insight into each puppy’s confidence, energy, sensitivity, social interest, and learning style. Our goal is not simply to find homes for our puppies, but to thoughtfully match each puppy with a family where they can feel secure, connected, and able to thrive. At Cedar Heart Bordoodles, our puppies are raised with intention, kindness, and plenty of love—from our home to yours.

Puppy Description
Playful, Smart, and Always Thinking Zuma is playful, curious, and already seems to be using his brain to figure things out. He enjoys exploring, interacting, and paying attention to what is happening around him. With both Poodle and Border Collie in his background, his early curiosity and awareness are especially fun to watch. He is raised in our home and receives daily individual handling. He has also been played with regularly by our three-year-old, so he is growing up around a wide range of sounds, movements, toys, voices, and everyday family activity. Zuma is 75% Poodle and 25% Border Collie. He is bathed and groomed weekly to help him develop positive associations with coat care and handling. At seven weeks old, he will complete the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test to provide more insight into his personality, confidence, and learning style. He is currently only four weeks old, so his temperament will continue to develop, but he is already showing himself to be a bright and playful little boy.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Bordoodle is a charming and intelligent hybrid, a cross between the brilliant Border Collie and the sophisticated Standard Poodle. Originating from the desire to combine the Collie's trainability with the Poodle's hypoallergenic coat and sharp mind, Bordoodles are gaining popularity. Physically, they are medium-sized dogs, typically weighing 30-60 pounds, with varying coat types ranging from wavy to curly, often exhibiting beautiful color patterns. Their temperament is generally described as highly intelligent, affectionate, and energetic, making them eager to please and quick learners. They thrive in active families who can provide consistent training and mental stimulation. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they are best suited for homes with yards, though active apartment dwellers committed to daily exercise can make it work. Notable health considerations can include those common to their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, and certain eye conditions, emphasizing the importance of choosing a responsible breeder.
