Description
Dad is (was, he was stolen...) the most gorgeous Pyrenees you have ever seen. He is 140lbs and has that amazing mane some Pyrenees have. He is papered, but we lost the papers. Mom is 75% Pyrenees and 25% Yellow Lab. She is pretty too, but not as pretty as dad. She weighs 110lbs. We have 6 males and 2 females. They are 6 weeks old and already 10 to 12lbs each. We don't vaccinate for personal reasons, but the pups have been fenbedazoled and can be papered if that is important to you. We really want these pups to go to people with land and animals (horses, cattle, sheep, goats, etc) or children. Pyrenees are called Livestock Guardian Dogs because being gentle but firm guardians is wired into their being. If you have the perfect place, we will give you a discount... we want our pups at your ranch!

Physically, they are large, powerful dogs, easily recognized by their thick, double coat, typically white (though sometimes marked with badger, grey, or tan), and a distinctive "double dewclaw" on their hind legs. Despite their imposing size, their temperament is generally calm, gentle, and remarkably patient, making them excellent companions. They possess a natural protectiveness, which translates to a watchful eye over their families and property. While loving and tolerant with children, their size and barking tendencies make them less suited for small apartment living; a home with a yard is ideal. Prospective owners should be aware of common health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation, and certain eye conditions, emphasizing the importance of responsible breeding. Their independent nature also means they require consistent, positive reinforcement training.
