Description
Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). JJ has a special story. He and his orginal owner were homeless when he accidently ran over his back leg with his bicyle. The accident broke JJ's leg badly and his owner was desperate to find him the help he needed. FOCCAS members and supporters raised a couple of thousand dollars to pay for orthopedic surgery to save JJ's leg. He spent months in the hospital with complications. Eventually, the decsion was made to amputate his leg and JJ has not been the same since! His foster family wouldn't be able to keep up with him if he had four legs. He is dog and people friendly (that is an understatement). He loves life! Sadly, JJ's owner has fallen off the grid and no one has been able to locate him. He really does love JJ but perhaps he just isn't able to care for him at this time. After months pasted and he only visited JJ once in the hospital, the decision was made to make JJ available for adoption so he could finally, for the first time in his short life, have a HOME of his own.
