    Breed: Australian Shepherd

    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Shepherd (short coat). Cassandra is always down for a cruise in the car, a romp in the park, and a game of bouncy ball...? Seriously, she is the reigning champ when it comes to snatching that ball up mid air. She's gotten so good at it she has to throw in a back flip just to show off. She is also 100% crate trained. Stop out right now and meet Cassandra! I am potty trained and my buddy at the shelter is Morgan if you're looking to adopt 2 dogs! So what are you waiting for? Stop out right now and meet Cassandra! Weighing in at 56 lbs., I'm 6 years old and love people! Adoption Donation: $150 All dogs are microchipped, neutered/spayed, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested and started on Tri Heart Plus & Vectra 3D. Our website (.animalhouseshelter) is kept 100% up-to-date with who is currently available. New animals (40/week) are added to the site 2 weeks before their availability date to give you time to fill out your adoption application and get the family ready to come out to the shelter that day. So keep any eye on the site for any animals being added as available for adoption as new animals are added everyday! We would recommend if you haven’t done so already that you submit a general online adoption application with us so it is on file for when you are ready to come out and adopt. The adoption counselors will be able to show you many animals that would be a good fit for your family. We do grant adoptions in order of when you submitted your application with us. So it is always best that you get your general application for any animal in with us as soon as possible. Please visit our website and fill out an online application and we will call you as soon as we review it. Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Australian Shepherd. Knox.City, Texas Do you trust me with your heart? I’d like to trust you with mine. I want to be loved and I’m friendly with everyone, but it will take me some time to believe that you truly want me. But, oh, when I do? You’ll get the biggest smile and the best snuggles! I not only like people, I like other dogs and cats! My favorites are little dogs. My foster mom has a couple of chihuahuas and I think they’re the bee’s knees! Sometimes they don’t want to play with me but since I can’t hear a word they’re saying I’m not offended and since I’m gentle it isn’t really a problem. Foster Mom says I have a vision problem too. I can see just fine to get around the yard and play with the other dogs but foster mom had to help me learn to navigate the steps in the kennel. She also helps me find things by touching my nose and allowing me to follow her hand. Foster mom blesses me a lot too! Mostly because any time I get excited I sneeze and then she does it - she says Bless you Charlie! So what do you say - do you want to bless me too, maybe with a forever home of my very own? He is great with all living creatures. He is house trained. He doesn’t beg or counter surf. He’s up to date on shots, flea, tick, and heart worm treatments and neutered. He rides well in the car. He loves to snuggle and be close to his people. He is deaf and has some vision loss. For more information, please email us at srgdrr.incgmail. For an application to foster or adopt, please go to .saverockythegreatdane and fill out an app. Thank you so much, we look forward to helping you.

    Hasek aka Bo...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Australian Shepherd
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd (long coat). I Have 2 Legs Just Like You! Hasek aka Boomer was born April 30, 2016 and weighs about 50 lbs. Hasek is a very special dog and has had a tragic life. He was purchased as a puppy in PA at .stonebeckerfarms and in November 2016 he was hit by a car which resulted in an emergency amputation of his left front leg. Shortly after he found himself in another home and shortly after that the new owners came home to find that he had bitten off a portion of the right front foot/leg!!! Seemingly due to the injuries with the car hitting him and there must have been some uncomfortable nerve damage and so he wanted to relieve the suffering....... So, yes, this dog now just has two back legs and incredible back end muscles! He does walk on two legs, for a ways, and kind of swoops down to lay back down. He does sit up on his rear and knows to lean the front part of his body on things....such as another dog. Hasek can also do stairs, jump on furniture and has even accomplished counter surfing. Here is the unfortunate part, Hasek can be protective and guarded with strangers and at veterinarian offices...go figure. We do wonder if a cart of some sort might be nice for him as he ages. When he loves you he loves you all the way and is a real snuggler and used to sleep with their son. He is house trained and does very well on car rides, but wasn't able to move with his most recent family. So, this is his very sad story and now he is looking for a third owner, let's just hope the third time is the charm! Here’s what Hasek says: “Hasek (sounds like Bass-ick with an H) here! I was just recently brought to Joyful because my family was moving. After a few days at Joyful I got to go to a foster home! They give me lots of snuggles! I am a little different then most dogs, as I was in an accident as a teen pup and because of that I now only have 2 legs. It doesn’t bother me at all, I actually learned to walk like you! I can see what you’re making for dinner and if you aren’t careful even taste test it! I would love a family with no kids, as they are too loud for me. I am cautious with new people so it’ll take me time to know if I can trust them, but when I do I’m a big love! I am potty trained and love the outside! I can’t run or even walk fast so I would be able to hang off leash, but only if you’re there with me. I can’t be outdoors for long as my foster family has found I get hot fast. I need a really cool place to be when I come in, and a lot of water! I can get on furniture by myself, and go upstairs by myself but coming downstairs I will need your help. If you don’t have another dog that’s ok, but if you do I am picky so I would love to meet them first! . I love to nap, snuggle, and love belly rubs! I do walk like you so I can’t be free fed, as I can’t get too heavy. Also in the future it’s possible I’ll need hip/joint supplements. Lastly I am protective of my family, but I’m working on calming down after people come in the house. Please really take time in considering me. I’m cute and lovable, but I have special needs and some think they can handle it, until they can’t anymore. I’ll be waiting for you!” Foster Update: It’s been 6 months that I’ve been with my foster family! During my time here I have learned a lot of new things! When I first got here it was new and scary, but I quickly warmed up and started to show my true colors! I love to give kisses and my foster “sister” gives me lots of kisses back! I learned how to get on furniture, as tall as 3ft, by myself! I zoom up the stairs when it’s time for bed and in the morning I can come down by myself! Now I’m told that I have lost my front legs, but I don’t let that stop me from going where I need to go, or doing whatever. I love with my whole heart and I don’t know if I want to share the love, so I will need to meet any new furry siblings. I have too much interest in kitties to live with any. I love to follow my people around so you must love having me go where you go! My foster family always says I’m a typical Aussie, except for herding, so if you aren’t familiar with my breed please do research. Besides my love for my family, I absolutely love the outdoors! Snow is the best and I love to play in it, and it takes some coaxing to come in! When it’s summer I love the sun on my face and the summer breeze! Strangers scare me, but my foster is trying to work with me on me not having to be afraid, they say no human will ever neglect me again! There’s so much more I want to tell you but I need to go and eat my snack! I hope to hear from you soon! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $200.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption. Can't Adopt Me? My name is Alice Waters. I am a Mini Australian Shepherd. I currently weigh about 13 pounds and should probably do a bit of dieting because it would be healthier for me to drop a few pounds. I am happy to report that I am house and crate trained! My foster mom says that I am super smart. I am learning some words too: ‘kennel’, ‘wait’, ‘leave it’, a command word for ‘outside’ and ‘go potty’. That’s a lot, but I aim to please. I also love the outdoors, sunbathing, and smelling the flowers. I am still shy but warming up to household living. I have found that fluffy dog beds are better than my crate and cuddling with other dogs is great! While I am too timid to come up for pets or cuddles, I have started to hang with the pack and get close to my foster mom. I do have a bit of separation anxiety, so I will bark for the first few minutes after my foster mom leaves, but I settle down quickly. I am learning to play with my fur foster brother and sisters. I’m learning that playing can really be so very much fun! Overwhelming commotion still tends to make me very nervous though. I haven’t yet worked on leash training, so that would be something new to learn. I do best with a secure fenced in yard. That secure part is important because I don’t want to get out and get lost. And I’m working hard on finding my furever family, so once I find you I don’t want to get lost! I like other dogs too: big dogs, small dogs, medium dogs it doesn’t matter. I like them all so long as they are friendly. Mean ones are not for me no siree bob! Cats are okay too. Anyway, it would be best if my furever family had another dog for me to play with. I just wouldn’t do well if I were all alone. Overall, I mostly just want to be part of the action. I like learning new things, I want to love and be loved, so I just know that I’ll make a fantastic part of your family! If you think so too, hit me up! I’d love to meet you. Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. Breed: Australian Shepherd
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 250.00. You deserve a sweet Aussie and Miss Gracie can be that girl! Since being in a foster home Gracie has come along way and we are so proud of her! She loves human attention now from both men and women. She LOVES other dogs and likes to play. She thinks fetch is super cool! Gracie is still shy when she first meets you but once you have bonded you have a companion/snuggle buddy for life. Gracie LOVES other dogs and will need a home with a confident canine to continue her training and building her confident. We are so proud of Gracie because she came from a breeding facility and had some challenges of learning how to dog-it! Despite living like this her whole life she is one of the sweetest and most innocent girls we have met in a long time! Since Gracie is on the sensitive side a home that is on the quite side would probably be the better fit for her. A fully fenced yard is needed for Miss Gracie please. Gracie is medium energy. Gracie is around 6 years old, weighs 35lbs., spayed, up to date on her vaccination of Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. Gracie was Heartworm tested (negative) and Fecal tested (negative). Gracie is Micro-chipped. She also takes monthly preventives for heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. We do not know how Gracie is with Cats. We do not recommend a house with very young children due to her shyness. Miss Gracie is being fostered in the St.Louis area and her adoption fee is $250.00. Every dog with Central Aussie Rescue is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and evaluated before being listed for adoption. Interested adopters must fill out an application, either online or in person, to be considered. Please visit centralaussierescue for more information about how to help Aussies in need. We are an all-foster rescue located in Missouri, Illinois, and surrounding areas.

Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Did we hear you are looking for a model? Kimber here is quite the beautiful girl and extremely photogenic. This sweet, shy girl is so excited to show off her good looks and blow you away. Kimber is a little over 50 pounds and between one and two year of age. Despite her tough upbringing, she is eager to trust and love again. She is good with dogs and kids although she gets scared when kids are loud. Kimber is a sweetheart but timid. She will need another dog in the household that she can look to for help when navigating situations as well as a quiet home willing to show her love and give her time to open up and trust again. She does get nervous with fast movement and loud noises. Based on her low energy level, she would be very happy with some walks and play and lots of love together. Kimber has already mastered her house, crate, and leash training. But as with any new dog to any home, accidents are always possible with the big change. Kimber has been described as an absolute doll and is so excited to find her forever home. The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees. Kimber is up to date on all vaccinations. Interested in adopting Kimber? To get the ball rolling head over to .dogstarrescue/the-form/ and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, please call your vet and give them permission to speak with us. What’s your name? I’m a baby Australian Shepherd that currently weighs 15 pounds. I am a fun-loving puppy that is always excited to meet everyone. One of my most favorite things is to play in the leaves outside in the yard. I also have this awesome Dragon squeaky toy that I like to carry around with me so that I always have it. I’m not quite fully potty trained, but I am working on it every day. I am , however, crate trained. If you have a fenced in yard that would be great, but since I’m working on learning about the leash and doing walkies, I don’t necessarily need a fenced in yard. Although, I may have to play in the leaves and yard and stuff when we go on walkies because it is so much fun. I have also learned the words "wait" and “outside”. I think that’s pretty awesome since I’m still just a baby. I cannot wait to learn even more fun things. I have met all kinds of other beings, including those small hoomans and those other kitty beings. I like them both. I also really like other doggies. I like them all—big, small, it doesn’t matter. They are all awesome. Although I’m not opposed to having a brother or sister, I don’t necessarily need to have one in my furever home. I’m a fairly quiet little fellow. I don’t bark much and I’m a very sweet little shadow that will follow you around. I love to set my chin on something when I lie down too. I also love doing car rides and lying in the sun. I know that I will make a great family friend if you’ll just give me a chance. I hope you think so too and cannot wait to meet you in person! This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void. We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee. Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend.
