Posted Breed: Beagle / Basset Hound / Mixed. PLAYFUL, CURIOUS AND SNUGGLY: 6 years old / 33 lbs. Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. I am a typical Beagle/Bassett girl who is playful, snuggly and curious - investigating and sniffing my surroundings and following a scent wherever it may lead. I’m also friendly, energetic and have loved playing with the other dogs I’ve met at the MM shelter and in my former home, so if you have a playful dog at home, let’s meet! I should be fed separate from other pets though as I am very protective of my food and have gotten into a dog scuffle over food. I also want the food and wrappers that may fall to the ground and have bitten over them. My trainer in the Mostly Mutts University program is working with me on this behavior so please inquire about how I’m doing with this. I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘lie down’, ‘come’ and ‘waiting in/out doors’ as well as my loose leash walking when using my special harness. In my former home, I would dart out of doors, so please make sure you keep up with my training since I’m doing well with that now. I also loved baths and a blow dry in my former home as well as squeaky toys, getting out and going places, cushy dog beds and I got an A+ for snuggling! My potty manners are pretty good on a schedule, though you may have to tell me ‘go potty’ so that I remember to finish what needs to be done outside, especially when it’s raining. I have that Basset stubborn streak too and don’t want to be picked up, or have my collar grabbed and I’ve growled and nipped over those things, but I respond well when you leash me and have me follow you. This is also something the MM trainers will be working with me on. I’m afraid of storms and fireworks, so a calming medication from your vet may be a good idea. If left in a yard, I’ll likely dig out to go on an adventure, so don’t leave me outside alone. I bark to alert you of passersby and dogs and have a social nature with all that I’ve met. Much older kids only due to the issues that need training as I don’t want to bite a child that may make a mistake. Energy level: 6-8. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.

    Breed: Bagle Hound
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Basset Hound / Beagle / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 125. Yogi is a male approximate 10 year old bassett beagle mix. He was surrendered by his family stating the kids were too young and hyper and he didn't like it. He is in a bit of depression as he isn't sure what happened to his life and family and is struggling with this. So we have seen him have some anxiety and pacing with this. We are trying to help him through this process. What we have found is he is a sweet and loving dog. He is happy to come to you and get loving. He seems to be easy going and Yogi is on the bigger side, long like a bassett with big feet and about 50 lbs. We also noticed he seems to have some arthritis so we are treating that with supplements. now all he needs is a family to love him and keep him all the rest of the days of his life. adoption fee is $125. Adoption fees go back to and cover all of the medical for all of the dogs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped upon adoption and many have received further treatment for such things as lump removal, severe ear infections, leg injuries, etc.. **Free T-Shirt with adoption, please let us know your size** For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com . We are also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/SouthernNevadaBeagleRescueFoundation . Come meet and play with our available dogs at Las Vegas area dog parks. Times and locations can be found at http://www.meetup.com/beagles-207/ . Contact us or check our Facebook updates ahead of time if you are interested in meeting a particular dog. All our dogs are in foster homes so not all are available to attend all our park meetups. Our meetup group playdates allow you to socialize your beagle with his/her own breed at dog parks with large fenced areas where the beagles can run and play off-leash. Beagle enthusiasts, come bay with us..... AROOOOOOOOOOOO!
