    Chip

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed. Chip was surrendered by his owner that “adored” him because they were being evicted. We were told Chip was in good health, 2 years old and neutered. As it turns out Chip is 5 years old, was not neutered and is heartworm positive. Of course, he will be treated for the Heartworms. Poor guy has been through some tough emotional changes for sure. We would love to find Chip his forever home while he gets his heartworm treatment. Chip is 5 years old and weighs 42 pounds. He’s good with other dogs and basically just wants to be loved. His adoption fee is $350.

Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed (short coat). Hi! My name is Kane and I'm an Australian Shepherd, Border Collie mix looking for my furever home. I came into rescue because my family was expecting a baby and I am nervous around young children. My ideal home would be a family that loves to cuddle and play. I am good with other dogs, cats and older, respectful children. I am house-trained and kennel trained. My previous family said that I was an amazing guy and would be a great addition to another family. My adoption donation is $350 + $24.50 Tax. All dogs are current on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and on preventative, microchipped and if recommended by a Vet have had a dental cleaning and other treatment to get and keep them healthy while in the rescues care. All dogs are living in foster homes and house manners including potty training and any behavioral issues are being worked on. But we never say our dogs are 100% house trained as when they transition to a new home there can be accidents while they adjust to a new environment and schedule. PNC Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit and any and all donations over and above the adoption donation are tax deductible. We have a large group of dogs in our Furever Foster program that acts as a foster based sanctuary for dogs not likely to be adopted. The rescue keeps these dogs healthy, comfortable and on necessary medications with necessary treatments for life. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via email, pncrescue@yahoo.com and remember we are all volunteers. Your patience is appreciated!

    Raven

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed. Raven & her sister Raina came from KY. The person who had them agreed that they had waaay too many dogs that they could not care for any longer. We're glad they decided to hand these girls over since they were fending for themselves living outside under a porch :( Raven is now about 6m in age. Raven is the obvious leader of the 2 girls. She has an independence/confidence about her. Her coloring is very unique since she has scattered brindle in her coat through her legs & on her face. Though her fur is not as long as her sisters, it still has some "depth" to it. Raven as not destroyed a thing in fostercare yet so we're hoping that she keeps up with that behavior. She has typical puppy energy and needs some basic manners with other dogs & people. Raven will need training from the ground up so if you have the time and patience to train a puppy, please visit our site for details on how to adopt and an application at endingthesadness.org. We have a 2hr max adoption radius for our animals.

    Cole

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Cole is a sweet boy that loves to "talk" he loves everyone and likes to play with other dogs - he is learning to walk well on a leash - he is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He would make a great indoor dog with a back yard to romp in. He has been fully vetted - is heartworm negative and is on Heartguard. He is ready for an older kid to play with or someone who is active and likes to take walks or play fetch. When this little guy was rescued he was skin and bones and could barely stand up - he deserves a happily ever after home now!! If you would like to meet Cole send a message and we can arrange a meeting

    Jack

    rescue
    Breed: Border-Aussie
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $200. Jack has exceptional intelligence – We are not going to tell you HE wrote this.... but we know if he had, he would have said: I was at the shelter before and found a wonderful, loving home. I loved those folks so much and enjoyed walking with them off leash and laying at their feet and riding in the pick-up. I responded when they called and constantly watched for them to indicate what I was supposed to be doing. However, I messed up --- I thought that if I did not know someone who came to the door, I should be suspicious of them if they seemed to be scared of me and maybe even growl – so I did. They would have forgiven that, I think, if I had not gotten too intent in my desire to protect “my people". I did not understand about grandchildren and how very special they are ---and that they are supposed to get lots of attention, even though they might be taking attention and love that I thought was mine. I am ashamed to say I nipped at a kid and no one had seen why. And unfortunately in another setting I did bite an adult that reached to pick up an item that I thought was a toy for me to play with. So, here I am looking for a new family that knows that I am both quick to learn and intensely loving and devoted to folks who make me theirs " Jack was returned to Safe Haven after these bites in his adoptive home, so he was sent to a professional trainer to assess Jack's safety and if he was safe, to learn what type of home that would be most ideal for him. After many months, Jack is back at Safe Haven and Robin, the trainer, let us know Jack is a nice dog, that deserves another chance in a home better suited for him. He does need a home where he is an only dog, and with no children. Jack actually did very well with his obedience training, and as it says above, he definitely is an intelligent dog! Robin is willing to talk and even meet with any potential adopters and make sure they understand what type of home and training Jack will do best in - but most of all Jack will need an owner that is willing to take the "leader of the pack" role. Jack's new owner will also need to take seriously what can happen when Jack is around new people, and be willing to kennel Jack or keep him in another safe room away from company when they visit. So if you consider yourself fairly dog savy, and are looking for a great young companion, that would love to further his obedience training - Jack may just be a perfect match for you - please contact us and come meet Jack! Posted Breed: Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 150.00. Hey world!!! My name is Jessie and I am a spry 12 years old Queensland Heeler/Aussie mix (or so I am told.) My foster Mom says I act more like a 5 year old doggy. My old owner had to go into the hospital and I was taken to the shelter with all of my darling pups. It was scary but I had my sister and all her pups with me. We got lucky when a local rescue had a foster that lived in the country and could take us all!! We are country kinda girls!! I love to have room to run and am really quite good with livestock. My weakness is chasing cats but I won't hurt them if I ever catch one. My foster Mom isn't so impressed with my chasing!! Did I mention that I am potty trained?? I can't wait to meet you!!!
