This handsome boy is a favorite of the kennel volunteers and is just so loving and thankful for any time he gets out of the kennel. Unfortunately, Rocky has fallen on some hard times and now needs our help more than ever. He was diagnosed with a tumor behind his left eye, which is affecting his vision. The vet said that he does not know if Rocky has months or years left to live - it all depends on the progression of the tumor. Unfortunately, because of the location of the tumor, there are no treatment options available. We cannot let Rocky live out the rest of his life at the kennel and so our search is on for a hospice foster or adopter. We are hoping that you can help us find him an angel that will let him live out the rest of his life in the comfort of a home. Rocky has great house manners, is housebroken and does get along with other dogs, though a proper introduction is required. Because of Rocky's vision impairments, we recommend that he go to an adult only home that will understand that he may be scared by sudden movements. Rocky loves to go on walks and hikes, and he is great in the car! Please help make a miracle for Rocky by being his foster or forever home for the holidays. She is starting to wag her tail when we come home or take her out. She is still very shy, but we have seen some progress with her trusting us. She is definitely more comfortable with the girls in the house, more so then the boys. She is great with our dog and loves watching our 2 sugar gliders jump around their cage. She loves treats which we use to try and gain her trust. She is still having potty accidents in the house, but those have also improved since her arrival here. She hasn't learned any tricks, but as soon as she is comfortable we will work on those too. She loves to cuddle with Oreo in our large dog crate, its their 'safe place'. They must have been on their own for a while as they both have lots of scars but Griffin doesn't appear to have any recent wounds. Griffin is a big boy and will be even bigger when he gets some weight put back on. UPDATE: Griffin is now neutered and microchipped and he is all ready to find his furever home. His friend Coco has moved to a foster to adopt home and both dogs are doing very well. Griffin has struggled when meeting new dogs, higher energy dogs that are allowed to get in his face seem to make him nervous. He will need very slow and proper intros with any new four-legged friends. Griffin is FULL of love and kisses for every two-legged person he meets. FROM GRIFFIN'S TEMPORARY FOSTER MOM: Griffin is the most loving dog! He's a big cuddle bug. He loves to take car rides and stick his big head out of the window. He gets tons of looks and laughs from people as we drive by! He is great on a leash and loves to take walks. He is a little unsure of meeting new dogs, but with slow and controlled introductions he would get along fine with an older, more relaxed dog. He is the epitome of the Boxer personality and LOVES to play tug-of-war. He's also an excellent fetch dog and will play fetch for hours, if you're game! Utah is doofy but is strong/dominant and will do better as an only dog. Utah LOVES water!! He very much enjoys the doggy play pool and will be an excellent swimmer if he has access to a swimming pool. Utah is extremely playful and requires a family that is willing to give him plenty of attention and active play. He is a big boy, so he will do best in a home with lots of room to roam and a large yard. He also likes to be a lazy couch hog at times, loves Netflix marathons, and loves snuggling with his human buddy while he chews on a toy. Utah is crate trained (but doesn't love it), house-trained, and is learning basic obedience commands. He is extremely food motivated, and will learn any trick you want to teach him! He could be the next skate boarding dog! Utah will do best in a home with older kids as he is a larger dog and could easily and accidentally knock down little children Utah has the slight onset of hip dysplasia so takes daily vitamins and medication.
