    Dodge

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 150. Foster Location: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $100 Age: 3 years Breed: Chocolate Lab mix Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped This boy was adopted as a puppy from the Idaho Humane Society; his family has loved him deeply all these years but their lives took an unexpected turn for the worse and they knew they could no longer care for Dodge. While it was a heartbreaking decision for the family they knew that Desi deserved better than they could give her. Dodge is goofy as heck and full of energy! He is a true mamas boys, sweet & sensitive; he can be a bit fearful of men but a soft voice and time to trust and he is loyal to a fault. He has lived with kids and is good with them but they need to be over 5 please. When you ask Dodge to sit then lay down he rolls over; he is always ready to make you smile. Dodge is house trained and knows some commands including sit, roll over, shake, fetch and high-five. He is great with cats and has lived with 3 of them and he made friends with neighbors outdoor cats. Dodge is great with other dogs and must go to a home with another dog that is as happy and easy going as he is; he MUST have a doggie playmate. Dodge is fairly high energy and will need a family that will exercise him daily; long walks, hikes, running, whatever he needs more than just playing in the back yard! If you are looking for 2 dogs Dodge would LOVE to be adopted with his sister Desi! If you think you can offer Dodge an amazing life please fill out an adoption application: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/

Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 100. Foster Location: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $100 Age: 7 years Breed: Pitbull mix Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped Sweet Desi is the nicest dog you will meet in a long while! This girl was originally abandoned in McCall with 3 puppies; then she was adopted to a loving family who sadly turned her over to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when their life took an unexpected turn and they could no longer care for Desi. While it was a heartbreaking decision for the family they knew that Desi deserved better than they could give her. This girl is a dream dog; she is super smart, knows a lot of tricks/commands (including sit, down, roll over, shake, dance, fetch, crawl), loves to fetch a ball, loves water and snow, has raised stray foster kittens, raised neighbor pup and even had milk come in despite being spayed. She loves to snuggle up with you on the couch; play fetch in the back yard and just do most anything with you! Desi loves people of all ages and has lived with kids (over 5 only please). Desi has lived with cats and other dogs and does great with all of them; however she does not like little dogs for some reason. Another dog in the home would be great for her but the dog has to be at least 35 pounds. She does tend to get overly excited when meeting new dogs and will pull pretty hard if she is meeting them on leash. She is house trained, has nice manners and would love to learn new things with her new family. Desi is a true gem and would do well in most households if you think you can be her everything please fill out an adoption application: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/

    Piper

    Breed: Border Collie-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 100. Foster Location: Spokane WA Adoption Fee: $50 Age: 2 Breed: Border Collie spayed, vaccinated, microchipped Pretty Piper is sadly in need of a new home; this girls mom loves her to pieces but has some medical issue that makes it so she can no longer care for her. Piper loves people and craves human attention! She can be a bit cautious around men initially, but once she gets to know you, she warms up very quickly! She would thrive in a home where she can be with her people more often than not - maybe a home where she could go with her person every day. Piper does get anxious when she is over stimulated so a home with no small children would be best. Your typical Border Collie; Piper is incredibly smart and trainable and has already earned her novice and intermediate trick dog titles! The sky is the limit with this girl - she is eager to learn anything you want to teach her - she'd likely excel agility. Piper would do best in a home without other pets as too much busyness and overstimulation can make her anxious. Piper has a generalized anxiety disorder but this is well managed with medication and by keeping both her mind and body active. She would do best in a home that can give her a ton of activity and stimulation through training, games, running, etc. She is house trained and does well in a crate and happily goes in there to sleep at night. Piper will come to her new home with a supply of medication (it's pretty cheap), her crate, toys, and brain games. Piper may have a few quirks but she is by far one of the sweetest dogs and we know she will thrive in the right home. If she sounds like the dog for you fill out an application and we will have her mom get in touch with you. Adoption application here: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/

  • Borador Dog For Adoption in Boise, ID, USA

    Mario

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Borador
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 50. Foster Location: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $50/Pair (part of a bonded pair) Age: 12 years old Breed: Border Collie/Lab neutered, vaccinated, microchipped **BONDED PAIR - Mario and Jack must be adopted together! Jack and Mario are a bonded pair who were surrendered to West Valley Humane Society at 12 years old in hopes to find a better life. They had lived their entire lives outside and were not potty trained. After months of sitting in the shelter system Fuzzy Pawz Rescue took these boys into their foster care program so they could start a new life. Mario and Jack have been in a foster home for over a month learning how to be indoor dogs. They are now used to a routine and are comfortable staying inside (they LOVE being couch potatoes). It took them a while to pick up on potty training but are now accident free! Keeping them on a strict routine of consistent feeding and outing times has been very important in their potty training. These two have a lot of personality and enthusiasm for life. They have a lab-type demeanor, have a moderate energy level and are eager to please. They tend to have bursts of high energy with a lot of napping and laziness in-between. They like to go for walks and adventures and do well in the car as well as on leash. Mario has longer hair and is slightly bigger than Jack. He is incredibly sweet and loves to lay on the couch and up on your lap. He is just starting to master stairs and is still working on his stair confidence (he does best with an enthusiastic running start and lots of positive reinforcement). He is excellent on leash and likes to walk politely by your side. Mario is incredibly smart, easy to train and treat motivated. He has quickly picked up basic commands (still working on down) and is an amazing companion. Jack is smaller and has shorter hair with a noticeable and adorable under-bite. He is a face licker and could use some boundary setting in his new home. Jack is brave and brazen and is not fazed by much. It takes him a bit longer to learn new things but his loving personality and charm make up for it. Jack is working on his leash manners but is not quite at Mario’s level yet. He can pull at first but then remembers his manners and is great to go on walks with. They are both incredibly sweet boys who would love to retire together in someone’s cozy home. They are cat friendly and do very well with smaller dogs. They can take an adjustment period and patience with bigger dogs. They do excellent on leash and co walking with dogs of all sizes but can get overwhelmed by big dogs being in their space. Both have been checked by a vet and are healthy. Adopting these handsome men will bring nothing but joy to your life! If interested please complete an adoption application here: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/

  • Chihuahua Dog For Adoption in Boise, ID, USA

    Odie

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Chihuahua
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua (short coat). FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID Adoption Fee: $50 Breed: Chihuahua Age: 10 years Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Poor old man Odie found himself at a local shelter stressed out to the max; the shelter staff knew he needed out so they contacted us and we were happy to be able to place him in a Fuzzy Pawz foster home. Odie loves to cuddle with people and is a total lap dog. His foster mom takes him everywhere with her carrying him in a baby sling; he likes to be involved in what you are doing and is a great companion. This boy does get overwhelmed if there is too much chaos going on around him and will nip you if he is overly stressed. A calmer, quiet home would be best for him. Full of life with tons of energy to burn this little man is quite the character. Somewhere in his genetic makeup Odie seems to have gotten himself some Border Collie as he thinks it's his job to "herd" all the other animals in the house! He is good with dogs but would do best with dogs that are well socialized and won't take offense to his "fun police" attitude. He is also currently living with rabbits and while he "herds" them also he doesn't hurt them; we think he'd be fine with cats also. He'd likely prefer to be the only pet in the home so he doesn't have to share his human time. He likes to wander while on leash but at less than ten pounds he is easy to keep next to you and he really does enjoy his walks - he can keep up for quite a long distance. Odie is mostly house trained; once in awhile he will forget to ask to go out so making sure he is taken out on a regular basis is key. His foster mom usually just has him wear a belly band around the house if she is busy and can't take him out frequently. He does very well in his crate but might bark at noises at the door while you are gone; in typical dog fashion the mailman is one of his favorite targets. Of course he'd prefer to sleep with you cuddled up. If you are looking for the ultimate Chihuahua - attitude and all then Odie is your boy and all you need to do is complete an adoption application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/

    Vinny

    rescue
    Breed: Miniature Pinscher
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Miniature Pinscher (short coat). Adoption Fee: 50. FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian ID Vinny is a 7 year old Miniature Pinscher (birthday- 11/1/2010). He is a very sweet and mellow dog that thrives on routine. He came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his family could no longer care for him. This handsome boy is not your typical Min Pin; he is a cute, quirky dog but fairly low energy; he is sweet and very mellow. He does not like loud, chaotic situations and gets easy overwhelmed. He’d do best in a home with no kids or kids over 12. He is good with other dogs and has lived with another Min Pin but would prefer to have another dog that has a calm energy like his own. He loves food, vacuuming up crumbs on the floor, snuggling under a blanket, and belly and ear rubs. Vinny does enjoy short walks but usually very short. While he does enjoy snuggles, he often enjoys the quiet comfort of his kennel for a quick nap. Vinny is house trained and kennel trained. He knows very basic commands such as “kennel” and “potty outside”. He is good on a leash. Vinny has epilepsy and is currently on two different medicines given twice a day (morning and night) to help control the seizures. While his seizures are controlled this does not mean he doesn’t have any. He usually has at least 1 seizure a month, and sometimes in clusters (1-2 seizures a day for a few days in a row). He has had epilepsy since he was 6 months old and his vet says he will always have it; but controlled it is not that big of a deal. His seizures typically involve him involuntarily going potty and shaking and foaming at the mouth. They typically happen at night when he is sleeping and has always slept in his kennel for this reason- plus he loves is kennel! New owners do need to be aware of the cleanup that is involved with Vinny’s seizures. Vinny also needs his medicine levels checked (through blood draws) on an annual basis. He also does not have the best oral hygiene and needs regular teeth cleanings. Despite Vinny’s epilepsy, he is a healthy, sweet dog with a lot of love to give! If you think you are the one to offer him a life of luxury please complete an adoption application today: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Vinny has been neutered, vaccinated. His adoption fee is $50

    Taz

    Breed: Bullypit
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 150.00. FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID This beautiful, snorty hippo is Taz! He is a 3 year old Bulldog mix. Taz is a short, squatty meatball who loves long naps and snuggles on the couch! Taz’s dream home would be one that is calm and quiet with no kids. He is a bit wary of new people so will need a home where there are not a lot of people in and out all the time. When meeting new people he needs a very slow intro so he can get to know them on his terms. Once he knows and trusts you, he will be yours forever and you won't be sorry! Taz gets along with other dogs, but he does better with another relaxed, easy-going female dog in the home; he can be pushy with other males. No cats, please-they are not for him! Taz is good on walks…he pulls a bit in the beginning, but then will fall into step and enjoys being outside. He is a great co-pilot & enjoys going for rides. He has no problem just waiting in the car while you run errands. Taz doesn’t play with toys much, but likes to chew on bones & ropes. He get excited when you come home and will grab you a toy, bone or even a sock to present while he prances around you. He’s such a wonderful greeter! Taz is great when left alone with the other dogs in the house and is not destructive. Taz knows a few commands like sit, stay, lay down, and he’s house-trained and will sit at the back door to be let out. He gets pretty excited with treats, so he’s working on taking them softly from your hands. Taz has some food allergies and is currently on grain-free food and doing well. It is recommended that he continues on the grain-free food to avoid any allergies in the future. If you feel he’d fit right in to your home with lots of love and affection, please fill out an adoption application today: fuzzypawzrescue/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Taz is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Taz’s adoption fee is $150
