Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $300. Pr etty girl Gail is such a nice all around dog. She's a beautiful blond Lab blend girl with a wonderful even temperament. She's not too crazy, not too mellow, just a nice middle of the road kind of girl. We'd say she's just right! The staff says she is very sweet, and she has met other dogs with a wagging tail and calm interest. Gail is 3-4 years old, so young dog shenanigans are far behind her now. She's ready to find a nice home with a warm bed, good food, and a loving family to call her own. Check out gorgeous Gail, she's waiting to hear that her day has come and she gets to leave shelter life behind and head out to rescue or a forever home who wants a nice just right girl like her! Note: Gail was brought in as a stray by animal control with 3 other dogs to a SC shelter. She is a sweet girl and is HW+ but will be treated before coming up to us from SC. She'll be arriving around the beginning of April. 3-4 yrs old; 34lbs; lab mix Gail will soon be making the long trip north in search of a new family, so please check back here to see when he'll be arriving ... and then stop by an upcoming Meet & Greet to find out if Gail is the right one for you! Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300. "Available for adoption is the sweetest 2-year old pitbull (about 47 lbs). Frankie loves to give affection, and we’d bet she’s the best snuggler in Philadelphia. She’s incredibly smart and willing to please her owners. Frankie was a stray who we found in Chester, PA. We brought her to the vet, who gave her the necessary shots, as well as a flea bath. Since then, she has been living with us and is so incredibly sweet. She was spayed in mid February and is now fully healed. Frankie is a true companion dog, who always looks to stay by your side and loves to be pet. She’s fully potty-trained and knows basic commands like sit exceptionally well. She’s well behaved around strangers but does not get along with other dogs. She's looking for a home with older children because of her strength and excitability. " Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogsyahoo to find out if Frankie is the right one for you! Tortie

    rescue
    Breed: Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Tortie's foster mom just adores her ... as you can tell from the way she writes about her :-) "This pup has personality plus! She gets along great with my male and female dogs, but her ideal companion would be a mellow guy who doesn't mind a little sister who steals his toys. Tortie rings the bells on the door when she has to go out, and she just loves to be in the yard (she's a great gardening buddy!), so a home with a physical fence would be ideal for her." "Best of all, Tortie is SO smart! She is very treat-motivated and quickly learns anything you want to teach her; she would love a family who will take her to classes to learn even more. She is crate-trained, but rarely needs to be in her crate anymore because she's so well-behaved. I have to admit, this is one foster dog that I would keep if I could — she's just that wonderful!" Now 5 years old and weighing in at 56 lbs., this happy, playful girl is spayed, microchipped and eager to meet her new family — could it be yours? Please stop by an upcoming Meet & Greet to find out if Tortie is the right pet for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Cindy

    Breed: Boxer-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300. "Pick me! Pick me!" Cindy is all eager smiles, tail wags and wiggly-jiggly dance moves when she sees folks coming her way along the kennel run. She tries so very hard to make sure you notice her — this super-friendly pup doesn't want to be lost in the crowd! And frankly, not only does this 9 year old charmer NOT get lost in the crowd, she's sure to stand out! Sporting a lovely deep brindle jacket and a broad, warm smile, sweet Cindy is a bubbly, engaging lady ready to steal your heart. She's always eager to climb into your lap or show off her oh-so-pettable belly as she rolls with delight in the grass. Here's what her temporary foster mom down south told us about her: "Cindy is absolutely loving with every human she's met. She's a little TOO interested in cats, however, so a cat-free home would be best for Cindy." Cindy's foster mom told us she's doing wonderfully there, too: "Cindy loves, loves, loves to be around people! She is a gentle, sweet girl who walks very nicely on the leash. Her idea of heaven would be a home where someone is around the house most of the day, as she's not fond of being crated or otherwise contained ... and she loves having 'people company' more than anything. She's an eager-to-please girl who is great with kids, housetrained, laid-back and mellow." Cindy is dog-selective. She's fine with the foster's other dog but has issues with some others so she would do best as an only dog. Want to learn more? Please e-mail us or stop by an upcoming Meet & Greet to find out if Cindy is the right canine for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter.
