  • Dachshund-Jack Russell Terrier Mix Dog For Adoption in Fruitland, SC, USA

    Jack

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Dachshund-Jack Russell Terrier Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150.00. Hello, my name is Jack! I am a 10 year old dachshund miniature pinscher mix. I am a special boy because I am diabetic and vision impaired, but that doesn’t stop me from living my best life. I am happiest when I’m out on a walk or basking outside in the sun. I am excellent on a leash and I can keep up just fine with my much younger brother. I am a pretty mellow boy, and when I’m not exploring outside or on a walk, I like to snooze in my crate or play with my squeaky toys. I am a little slow to warm up to people, but once I adjust I am affectionate and love to give kisses. I would really love a home with no children, no other dogs, and a fenced in yard so I can explore and relax outside, and generally just enjoy my golden years in the sun. I am completely house trained and crate trained and I’ve never had an accident in the house. My foster mom says that I’m the easiest foster dog she’s ever had because I’m pretty independent and low maintenance (yes, even though I’m diabetic!). If you would like to learn more about me please contact my foster mom Christine at niccar14yahoo littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Jack is $150. If Jack is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements. Transportation Help If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.

Posted Breed: Basset Hound / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $300.00. Who out there doesn't want to own a castle?? Well here's your chance. And just like with castles, I am a bit high maintenance. I came from a horrible living situation where I was kept with 35 other dogs by a hoarder. Thankfully I am an absolute wonderful boy. I love people and other dogs. My demands are the need to live with another dog who loves to play as much as I do and have someone home more often than not. I go to work with my foster now and I love it. I have never been alone and do not like being alone for too long. I love to go for long walks, chew on my antler and shred a stuffed animal or two. I also love to eat. Keep a close eye on your plate. If it's left alone it's mine. If you are able to give me what I need please ask about meeting me. I am waiting patiently for my forever family. If you would like to learn more about Castle please contact Christine at niccar14yahoo littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Castle is $300. If Castle is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements. Mocha

    rescue
    Breed: Dachshund
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund (long coat). Adoption Fee: 300.00. Hi! My name is Mocha. I’m a 4-year old chocolate, long-haired dachshund weighing in at 12 lbs. I was recently spayed, had a dental cleaning and am totally up to date on my vaccinations. I have great house manners and enjoy going for quick outings with my doxie friends. I came into rescue from a retired breeder and unfortunately have had very minimum physical contact with people. I had no idea what to expect (or what was expected of me) when I arrived at my foster home. I never learn to trust, to love, or to play. My life wasn’t unpleasant but it is the only life I have ever known. I am very submissive and easily spooked by quick movements and loud noises. I’m getting braver every day. I continue to make baby-step progress but I will need a forever family with lots of patience, understanding, love, and probably most importantly, unconditional acceptance of what my limitations may be. I’ve lived with other dachshunds all my life so I need to live with another small dog. I enjoy small amounts of affection from my foster mom, but I am not ready to come to people I do not know. I let my foster mom pick me up but she always talks to me and lets me know what she is doing. If you can find room in your home and heart for me, please contact my foster mom Sabine at SabineWilsonmsn. She can tell you all about me. Please note: Mocha has been with Little Paws Dachshund Resuce since 9/8/2018. During that time, we’ve come to understand her personality, her likes and her fears. As Mocha’s advocates, we want to ensure that she is paired with the right adopter(s). Based on our assessment, here are the characteristics of the ideal adopter: someone who works from home or is home most of the day, a home where the predominant caregiver is female (as Mocha has an extreme fear of men), must have a small companion dog and a securely fenced back yard (no chain link fences). Mocha must be adopted by someone willing to drive to her foster home to meet her and adopt her. She is fostered in Chester, Maryland. The adoption fee for Mocha is $300. If Mocha is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).

    Breed: Dachshund
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150.00. My name is Murphy and according to my foster dad I am one handsome dachshund. My life before rescue was OK, but my veterinary care was not the best. My rescuers saw to it that I got a badly needed dental as I had severe periodontal disease. Believe it or not I lost 23 of my 42 teeth including my two upper k9s. I feel so much better now and eating is no longer painful. I have to take medication twice a day because I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder before coming to Little Paws. It really doesn’t stop me from doing anything I want to do and I don't have seizures if I am on my medication. I have settled in nicely in a foster home with several other doxies and a cat. I really like having buddies. I am house trained and crate trained and enjoy spending time outdoors sunning on the deck. Like most doxies I am not fond of cold wet weather. I am in search of a forever family that will make sure I get all the care I need for the rest of my life. I would really love to have a fenced backyard and a family that won’t leave me alone for long periods of time. Because I am a senior if you adopt me there are no growing pains and no surprises; you simply bring home your new best friend. If you are interested in knowing more about Murphy please contact his foster dad Walt at (waltshephotmail). littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Murphy is $150. If he is adopted over the Maryland state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). Note: Murphy can not be transported to New England. Transportation Help If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. Posted Breed: Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 275.00. Meet April Hi. I am a 5 yr old female Dachshund/Min Pin mix! I am spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. I was found in a local shelter and had recently given birth. All 4 puppies passed away. Little Paws saved me and I became a foster mom to a stray puppy that needed to be nursed. Foster Mom says I was a such a good mommy and raised him until he found his forever home. Now it's my turn to find a loving home! I had heart worms but have been through treatment and now I am heart worm free and feeling so much better! Foster Mom says I am very spunky and love to play! I get along with other dogs, but I admit I like to chase the cat. I can be shy at first, and I need to warm up to people that I do not know. I have been around young children, but they really do not interest me. I would prefer an adult home with older kids. Foster Mom says I have been through so much, but I have come a long way with my trust issues. My dream is a loving, patient, and trusting forever family! Could that be you? If you are interested in knowing more about April please contact April's foster parents at infoautolynchburg littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for April is $275. If April is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Adoption Fee: $250.00. Hi! I’m Hershey and I’m a 9 year old 17 lb black and tan smooth female. I am a typical dachshund and I love belly rubs, attention and being around my human. I like hearing my name being said. I’m wary of being around other dogs and can react to sounds I don’t know. I respond well to commands and tone of voice. I’m housetrained and I enjoy going outside. At night and when my foster mom is out I sleep in my comfy crate. When she is home I can sleep on the big human bed and have free range of the home. I am untested with children. I’m fine going up and down steps and stairs. I like going for walks, but am still learning to walk on the leash, as I get distracted/spooked by unfamiliar noises. Although I like to play with other dogs I think I might prefer being the only dog in the house. If you are interested in knowing more about Hershey please contact her foster mom Shivaun (shivaunleonardgmail). littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Hershey is $250. If she is adopted over the Virginia state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). Posted Breed: Dachshund / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. Hi! My name is Rosemary and I came to Little Paws with my brother Parsley. We are 4 month old “Chiweenie” puppies who are ready to go to our forever home. We are loving, sweet, and full of kisses for you! We have lots and lots of energy too. We like to play with toys, romp with each other, go on walks, and be a part of your very active life. Our foster mom says that I’m the spunky one and that I love to explore new things. Parsley is a bit more laid-back, but is always up for adventure. Don’t get me wrong, we love a good lap to cuddle in. Both of us are friendly with strangers and other small dogs. We both love our crates, especially if we get a special Kong toy filled with something particularly yummy. We are both in search of a forever home with a family who works from home or has a job with a flexible schedule as we need go potty about every 3-4 hours. Our tiny bladders can only hold so much! Learning that the potty is outside is key for us right now as we really didn’t understand where we should go when we first came into rescue. Now we are finally getting the hang of it! Oh, and speaking of which, because we are little, it is probably best that we are not adopted to a family with small children. We are so ready for our forever life with you and promise to bring smiles, laughter and lots of love into your world If you can find room in your home please contact the foster coordinator Christine at niccar14yahoo and she can tell you all about me. PS. I’m sure I’ll be on her lap listening in. The adoption fee for Rosemary is $350. Posted Breed: Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $275.00. Hi! My name is Almond Joy, but I love being called “Joy”. I was rescued from an awful hoarding case where there was crowding, poor nutrition and confinement. I am so grateful to Little Paws for rescuing us, but I really want my very own forever family. If you are looking for a companion and if you like to give belly rubs, then we will definitely be a match made in heaven! I just love my belly rubs! I am proud to tell everyone that I have caught on to house training and am really reliable if you keep me on a schedule. I seem to prefer woman over men and really enjoy the company of other dogs. I would be great with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with that I would definitely make someone a great companion! Note: Almond Joy came into rescue missing her coat along both of her sides from flea dermatitis and poor nutrition. She is currently being fed a limited ingredient dog food and we are hopeful that over time with a little TLC she will one day have a beautiful black shiny coat. If you want to know more about me please contact my foster mom, Vivian at fortsonviv17gmail. littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Almond Joy is $275.
