    Jethro

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Dachshund
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150. Jethro is a very friendly dachshund with the cutest fat feet! He is 10 years old and about 11 pounds. He is crate trained, but is still working on potty manners. Jethro wasn't fixed when we rescued him so he does like to mark, however; he does just fine with a belly band inside. He gets along well with other dogs, and would appreciate a furry friend in his forever home. His favorite things are playing chase, wrestling, and snuggling with his person. He would love a fenced in yard to sniff around, although he enjoys walking on a leash as well. Jethro was mostly neglected in his former life, so he will need a patient family who will continue to help him learn to socialize. While still very active and playful, he has a heart murmur that will have to be monitored and his activity in hot weather will need to be limited. He takes his heart medications very easily mixed in with soft food. For more information on this cutie you can email Foster Mom Sarah at sarahplylerpianogmail. The adoption fee for Jethro is $150. If he is adopted over a state line there will be a $45 charge for a health certificate (required by law). All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements. Transportation Help If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don't let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work you to transport the dog to you

    Breed: Dachshund

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150.00. Hello, my name is Shorti! My foster mama likes to call me Super Shorti because of my super-sized ears. I am such a sweet, lovable, gentleman and I hope to find my perfect forever home soon. My favorite thing to do is burrow in blankets and snooze throughout the day. I also love to sit on my foster parents laps while they work from home. I am currently staying with three other miniature dachshunds and we all get along just fine. We go on walks together and I enjoy being outside with them. Overall, I am very laid back and just like to go with the flow. I don’t need much excitement in my life and am content to relax at home. My previous owner found me tied to a tree, and she couldn’t believe someone could do that to a sweet little dog like me so she took me into her home. There I lived with a kitty and a young baby, but the baby took up most of my owner’s time so she had to give me up. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, lovable guy to warm your lap than look no further! Please contact my foster mom Wendy at wendyrothschell if you would like more information about me. The adoption fee for Shorti is $150. If Shorti is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements. Transportation Help If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.

Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Adoption Fee: $250.00. My name is Archie. I am a very handsome 9 yr old red smooth tweenie dachshund weighing about 16 lbs. I was abandoned at a shelter by the only family I ever knew. I don’t understand why they had to give me up. It’s been a rough few months because in addition to being given away I had to be neutered and then on top of that I had to have some big time surgery to repair hernias. My foster mom said I was a hot mess. The good news is I had my surgery and I am a new dog. I have totally recovered and am enjoying life. I am in search of a forever home with a family that (1) won’t leave me alone for long periods of time (2) won’t crate me and (3) will let me sleep in the big bed with them. I also am not fond of car rides so I need to be adopted close to my foster family (within 100 miles of the Metropolitan Washington, DC area). If you are interested in knowing more about Archie please contact his foster mom Beth (BethMittlemanicloud). littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Archie is $250. If he is adopted over the Maryland state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).

Well here's your chance. And just like with castles, I am a bit high maintenance. I came from a horrible living situation where I was kept with 35 other dogs by a hoarder. Thankfully I am an absolute wonderful boy. I love people and other dogs. My demands are the need to live with another dog who loves to play as much as I do and have someone home more often than not. I go to work with my foster now and I love it. I have never been alone and do not like being alone for too long. I love to go for long walks, chew on my antler and shred a stuffed animal or two. I also love to eat. Keep a close eye on your plate. If it's left alone it's mine. If you are able to give me what I need please ask about meeting me. I am waiting patiently for my forever family. Breed: Dachshund
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150.00. My name is Murphy. My life before rescue was OK, but my veterinary care was not the best. Little Paws saw to it that I got a badly needed dental losing 23 of my 42 teeth including my two upper k9s. I feel so much better now and eating is no longer painful. I am full of energy and believe it or not I have trouble keeping my weight at 14-15 lbs. Like lots of doxies I love to eat, I love burrowing under blankets, I love stuffed toys that squeak and I worship the sun. Also like most doxies I am not fond of cold weather or rainy weather. I have to take a pill with my breakfast and dinner every day because I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder before coming to Little Paws. Believe me it doesn’t stop me from doing anything I want to do and when I take my medicine I don’t have seizures. I am in search of a forever family that will make sure I get all the care I need for the rest of my life and will not leave me along for long periods of time. Because Murphy has a seizure disorder we think a quiet home without children would be the best forever home for this little guy. If you are interested in knowing more about Murphy please contact his foster dad Walt at (waltshephotmail). littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Murphy is $150. If he is adopted over the Maryland state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). Note: Murphy can not be transported to New England. Posted Breed: Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 275.00. Meet April Hi. I am a 5 yr old female Dachshund/Min Pin mix! I am spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. I was found in a local shelter and had recently given birth. All 4 puppies passed away. Little Paws saved me and I became a foster mom to a stray puppy that needed to be nursed. Foster Mom says I was a such a good mommy and raised him until he found his forever home. Now it's my turn to find a loving home! I had heart worms but have been through treatment and now I am heart worm free and feeling so much better! Foster Mom says I am very spunky and love to play! I get along with other dogs, but I admit I like to chase the cat. I can be shy at first, and I need to warm up to people that I do not know. I have been around young children, but they really do not interest me. I would prefer an adult home with older kids. Foster Mom says I have been through so much, but I have come a long way with my trust issues. My dream is a loving, patient, and trusting forever family! Could that be you? If you are interested in knowing more about April please contact April's foster parents at infoautolynchburg littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for April is $275. If April is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements. Breed: Dachshund

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund (short coat). Little Paws Dachshund Rescue is hosting a courtesy posting for "Cary Grant," a handsome senior dachshund currently at North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY. If you are too young to remember, Cary Grant, the movie star, was known as one of the classic Hollywood leading men dating back to the 1930s. And, that's just what this namesake wants to be -- your leading man. He has special needs so he's looking for experienced adopters to give him the home he so desperately deserves. He can be described as shy, but sweet, very friendly and affectionate, and a curious little guy, who's always up for an adventure. He handles well on leashed walks and is looking for a calm and quiet home to relax in preferably without any other small pets. Cary Grant is good with respectful kids 12+. He's housetrained. Needs an experienced owner and needs to be the only pet. Would you like more details about Cary Grant? Please contact Sean-Patrick Malloy at Seanmanimalleague. (North Shore Animal League America, 25 Davis Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050) (Phone: 516-883-7575)

Posted Breed: Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $275.00. Hi! My name is Almond Joy, but I love being called “Joy”. I was rescued from an awful hoarding case where there was crowding, poor nutrition and confinement. I am so grateful to Little Paws for rescuing us, but I really want my very own forever family. If you are looking for a companion and if you like to give belly rubs, then we will definitely be a match made in heaven! I just love my belly rubs! I am proud to tell everyone that I have caught on to house training and am really reliable if you keep me on a schedule. I seem to prefer woman over men and really enjoy the company of other dogs. I would be great with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with that I would definitely make someone a great companion! Note: Almond Joy came into rescue missing her coat along both of her sides from flea dermatitis and poor nutrition. She is currently being fed a limited ingredient dog food and we are hopeful that over time with a little TLC she will one day have a beautiful black shiny coat. If you want to know more about me please contact my foster mom, Vivian at fortsonviv17gmail. littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Almond Joy is $275. Posted Breed: Dachshund / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $150.00. Hello, my name is Jack! I am a 10 year old dachshund miniature pinscher mix. I am a special boy because I am diabetic and vision impaired, but that doesn’t stop me from living my best life. I am happiest when I’m out on a walk or basking outside in the sun. I am excellent on a leash and I can keep up just fine with my much younger brother. I am a pretty mellow boy, and when I’m not exploring outside or on a walk, I like to snooze in my crate or play with my squeaky toys. I am a little slow to warm up to people, but once I adjust I am affectionate and love to give kisses. I would really love a home with no children, no other dogs, and a fenced in yard so I can explore and relax outside, and generally just enjoy my golden years in the sun. I am completely house trained and crate trained and I’ve never had an accident in the house. My foster mom says that I’m the easiest foster dog she’s ever had because I’m pretty independent and low maintenance (yes, even though I’m diabetic!). If you would like to learn more about me please contact my foster mom Christine at niccar14yahoo littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Jack is $150. If Jack is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).
