    ABBY

    rescue
    Breed: Mastiff-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff / Mixed (medium coat). Abby_A195427 Abby is a 5-year-old, spayed female, brown brindle and white Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier mix. She was surrendered by her previous owners on 04/11/19 because they can no longer care for her. Abby lived with her former owners all her life and they shared with us that she is an indoor dog that is house trained. She walks pretty well on the leash and knows the sit, stay and down commands. Abby is friendly toward people that would come into her home; outside of her home, however, she is a little more on the shy side. Abby has NEVER lived with children, and her former owner said that she is best suited to live with respectful, dog-savvy children over age 16 and adults. She doesn't care much for loud noises or fast movements. Binky previously lived with two other dogs and a cat and did well with them. Abby is a sweet, gentle girl with a medium energy level. She loves attention and to sit with you. Although Abby previously lived with other dogs, if you are considering adopting her and have another dog, bring them to the shelter with you so we can test for energy level compatibility. Please ask one of our staff members to help you with the meet and greet. Abby's $85 adoption fee includes her microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, annual vaccine, leash, collar, and goody bag! Please stop by and see her, she'd love to go home with you! Posted Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Lobo_A195640 Lobo is an approximate 2-year-old, intact male, black and white Siberian Husky mix that weighs 50 pounds. He arrived as a stray on 04/22/19. Lobo is an energetic boy that loves to play in the yard with toys and would benefit being in a home with a large backyard. Lobo would like to live with an active person or family with older, respectful, dog-savvy children because he isn't a fan of being hugged. He gets agitated when he sees the cats and other dogs at the shelter, so a home where he can glean the spotlight to himself would be best. Although he pulls when walking on the leash, he knows the sit command and will take food gently from your hand. Lobo's $85 adoption fee includes a $40 voucher to go toward his neuter, which, by law, MUST be done within 30 days of adoption, his microchip, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, leash, collar and goody bag! Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (medium coat). Jojo_A195173 Jojo is a 4-year-old, spayed female, red and white Boxer mix that weighs 50 pounds. She was surrendered by her former owner on 04/18/19 because she was starting to get grouchy around other dogs and children in the home. Jojo lived with her former family for 1-1/2 years and they shared with us that she is an inside dog that is house trained. She is a little aloof when meeting people for the first time, but when given time, she warms up and is as sweetheart! Jojo previously lived with children and could do so again as long as they are dog-savvy, respectful and over age 14 (the youngest child previously was 8 and the adopters said Jojo would do better with a teenage child). Her only fear is hearing gunshots or fireworks. Jojo is comfortable being left alone for up to 9 hours per day. Jojo previously lived with a lizard and did well with it. We found Jojo to be a delightful girl. He walks well on the leash, knows the sit and paw commands. She has a medium energy level and likes to catch treats in the air and play with toys/fetch. Once Jojo knows you, she will sit at your feet and let you pet her for as long as you like! Jojo gets anxious around other dogs and cats. It would be best for her if she were the only pet in the home. She would love a home with a medium size backyard so she can play! Jojo's $85 adoption fee her up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, leash, collar and goody bag! Posted Breed: Border Collie / Queensland Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Groot_A195611 Groot is an approximate 7-month-old, intact male, red and red ticked Border Collie/Heeler mix that weighs 34 pounds. He arrived as a stray on 04/22/19. Groot is quite an energetic fellow that likes to go on walks and play with toys. He seems friendly toward the dogs here at the shelter; we recommend a meet and greet if you have another dog. Stop by the front desk and our staff will be happy to help you. He gets a little anxious around the cats and may chase one due to his energy level. Groot would do best in a home with a large backyard so he has room to play with his toys (which he loves to do). Groot would like to live with an active person or family with older, respectful, dog-savvy children. Both of his breeds are herding breeds and they are known to try to keep smaller children together by nipping at their heels. He is also a little mouthy when he gets excited. Groot needs some more work walking on the leash and learning basic commands. He takes food gently from the hand and is a very sweet and happy fellow. Groot's $150 adoption fee includes a $40 voucher to go toward his neuter, which, by law, MUST be done within 30 days of adoption, his microchip, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, leash, collar and goody bag!
