  • Border Collie-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in Paso Robles, CA, USA

    Gretchen

    rescue
    Breed: Border Collie-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat). Gretchen, 5 yr., spayed, Border Collie mix Gretchen: She is 5 years old and the mother of Sister and Brownie, who were adopted. Lets pay attention to Gretchen! Gretchen has been here a couple months. And now, one of the chosen house dogs. Totally trustworthy inside. She holds it, or uses the dog door, and respects boundaries, like the threshold of an open door. She is very well mannered. She knows better. Turn key dog. She's great on or off a leash. She simply becomes your dog. Gretchen is fantastic with other dogs, in a pack or one on one. She's the sweetest most affectionate girl ever! She loves to give kisses and wants pets, and wants to be everywhere you are. She's not shy, very well balanced, happy girl. At 5 years old, Gretchen still has all the energy her 18 mo. pups have. She needs someone active! So don't let the premature grey grizzling on her muzzle fool ya! She's a typical young border collie! Normally a dog like Gretchen wouldn't be here more than a day. But there have been quite a few her age, with less energy, that some older folks were more comfortable with. Gretchen would do great on a property with no fences. She only wants to be with her family, pack and person. Breed: Mutt

    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Boxer (short coat). Duke, 7 mo., neutered, Cattle Dog/Boxer Only about 7 months old. What a dude! Duke was discovered pretty much on someone's doorstep, complete with harness. He was not microchipped, and no one came looking for him. His Good Sam's went through proper channels in Madera county and then got him here to find him the best home. He's a complete sweety and beautiful (he has guyliner). Obviously Australian Cattle dog and boxer. Duke is adorable. He loves everyone. Great with the pack and he's having a blast. Play, play, play! And, we haven't even gotten him to the creek yet. His foster's say he loves the water, so these upcoming photos should be great. Duke has been altered, brought up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. And available for adoption. Breed: Mutt

    Age: Young

Posted Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat). Cullen, 10 mo., neutered, Australian Cattle Dog Cullen flew in from Riverside A.S., care of Pilots N Paws pilot Aaron. Thanks Aaron!! Thanks Pilots n Paws!! Not sure about his back story, but the shelter liked him so much, they kept him alive for 37 days! That is a feat at Riverside. Very congested. He's been on his first pack hike and this boy is classic, the heeler that won't leave your side! No leash required. It's mostly male dogs here right now and Cullen has gotten on beautifully with all of them. He hops in the van and is really good. No issues in the yard. Hes pretty happy to be out of the shelter and in a home, with other dogs and lots of exercise, food and water. He is a swimmer btw! So great to watch in the creek or on the trail. Just a curious, sweet and pretty outgoing little red heeler. His coat is a tad fluffy, so he might have something else in there. Beautiful 10 month old boy! Breed: Labrador Retriever
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shar Pei (short coat). Copper, 4 yr., spayed, Lab mix Copper is looking for a new home. She's been hopping the 4 ft fence to go cruise the neighbor's chicken coop. Not safe! Originally, she came into this rescue in April of 2014. She was born July of 2013 is right at 4 + years old. We thought she was some kind of Cattle dog mix, cropped tails and she and her sister Joon have some freckles. She is a beautiful Lab/Sharpei mix, a nice mid-sized dog. She will run when you want her too, and sleep when you want her to. She is house trained, crate trained, and very easy to live with. Copper absolutely loves kids. She is a great watch dog and only barks when there is something to bark at. Copper likes to play, but she knows when you are done. She sleeps in her crate, but loves to cuddle, too. Copper knows several tricks, too. She loves going on car rides with her people. She doesn't care for cats. She gets along great with some dogs, but maybe not others. She is sweet and loving and deserves a great home. Copper is agile. 6 foot fences in town or a ranch with room to roam would be perfect for her. Please consider giving Copper a great home. Adoption fee for Copper is $150.
