    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (long coat). This is Kody! He's a handsome little guy who looks amazing in his recent haircut and doesn't mind playing dress up in honor of the holiday season. Kody came to PAWS in rough shape- skin so itchy and painful he couldn't stop chewing himself and crying, and now with some TLC and special food he's feeling much better! Kody has allergies, so he will need a special diet and medicine to stay happy and healthy. He will also need regular trips to the groomer to keep his 'do looking great, but he also doesn't mind a good brushing, and obviously all the pets you can supply! Kody doesn't mind other polite dogs, and could potentially live with older, teenaged kids. Age: 6-10 years How I came to PAWS: Kody was surrendered because his owner could no longer keep up with his health needs. Animal ID#: A40107981 Weight: 23lbs Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.) Breed: Golden Retriever-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever / Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). My name is Myla, I’m about 3 years old and a total lover. I love being close to my family and I’ll give you a million kisses to prove it. I should have daily walks (I’ve learned great leash manners!) and ideally a yard to run around in. My favorite game is fetch - I’m really good at catching my toys in the air! I do love to play, but I’m also really mellow and will lay on the couch and watch TV for hours. Best of both worlds! While I am super loving, I’m pretty nervous around kids and babies so I’d like a house with just adults please. You shouldn’t trust me around cats, and I’m pretty picky about other dogs. I’ll bark to let you know the mailman is around or if someone knocks at the door, but that’s all the barking I’ll do. I’m a quiet girl, I have good manners, and I’m ready for my new home! Name: Mylia Location: Foster care Breed: Golden/terrier mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label) Age: 1-2 years old Weight: 46 pounds Reason for surrender to shelter: Would like to live in a home with adult only. If you are interested in meeting Mylia, please email dogsphillypaws for an application. Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female

Posted Breed: Unknown breed (long coat). Dolly is a laid back girl who enjoys people and other polite dogs. She's an outdoorsy gal who enjoys long walks on a leash, and doesn't mind if you dress her up for the chilly weather! She likes to take a nice slow pace and enjoy just taking extra time to check out the world around her. She is house trained, but also has no issue using puppy pads as a back up, and if you've been gone for a while she always welcomes you back home! Dolly will need an adopter who has a good relationship with their vet and is comfortable handling senior care. She may occasionally need to go on medications to keep her liver levels stable in her bloodwork, but at this time she has a great quality of life. Dolly's a fairly easy-going kinda gal who wouldn't mind another low-key, calm dog in her life. She would also do just fine in an adult-only home as the only pup. Dolly's a funny little gal who loves army-crawling around and rolling over for belly rubs—she's got plenty of silly antics in her! She's a sweet, independent little lady who would love a home to enjoy her golden years. Posted Breed: Maltese / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Chloe! She is considered special needs because she has a heart condition and other health issues. Chloe is one sweet little lady in search of a special forever home. This affectionate gal has a heart murmur and collapsed trachea syndrome, but does well on her medications, and her coughing is minimized when she is calm. Her favorite pastimes include walks, car rides, and being wherever her people are! Chloe gets along with cats and other dogs (especially if they're closer to her size), has a loving temperament, and is very friendly with everyone she meets. She'll thrive best in a mellow household with adults or older teens who can be sensitive to her medical needs and give her all the love she deserves! She would especially love a home where there are other animals or humans who are around a lot to keep her company. Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). If you love to laugh, you'll love Gordita! This sassy little lady might be tiny, but she's got one of the biggest personalities at PAWS. Gordita came in to the shelter obese and barely able to run, but now she can roll around, run through the adoption center, and sometimes plays fetch! She was diagnosed by our vets as having Cushings disease (develops when their body overproduces the steroid hormone, cortisol), but she doesn't let it slow her down at all. She takes pills every day to keep her stable, and is looking for an adopter who can keep up with her medication and continue to help her on her weight loss journey. Because Gordita is choosy about her animal friends, she'll do best in an adult household as the only animal. In exchange she'll repay you in hilarious antics, tons of personality, and adorable pig-like snorts every time she sniffs things! Age: ~6-8 years Weight: Around 15 pounds Reason for surrender to shelter: Found as stray Animal ID#: A39404466 Breed: Chihuahua mix (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Posted Breed: Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (long coat). The older the Lemon, the sweeter the Lemonade! This sweet little baby (Lemon!) has only known love and just wants to spend her golden years giving and getting love. She loves people and tolerates other calm pets (but she prefers and loves people the most!). This lady was overwhelmed at the shelter and is now living the life of a lady in foster care. She wants her breakfast and crossword puzzle every morning, but then would like to go on a nice bouncy walk since she's still very active even at her age! She likes her routine but is also open to adventure and playtime! She's a little trailblazer and will go on hikes on the unbeaten path, though you may have to carry her back. She also likes to play fetch. Don't have time for fetch? No worries, she's mastered the solo game of fetch and will toss the toy up in the air and run and get it herself! Lemon is happiest when she's enjoying a quiet moment on a friendly lap, and what she'd love more than anything is to find someone special to snuggle up to. Her resident foster grandcat would love nothing more than to play with and snuggle her, but she prefers human snuggles over pet snuggles!
