Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Hello there! I ’ m Honey. My name is pretty perfect for me, if I do say so myself ... Not only is my coat a pretty honey color but I ’ m a sweetheart of a girl as well! I’m about 3 -4 years old and a sprightly mix of Chihuahua/Terrier. Don ’ t let this 15lb frame fool you, I’m an outdoorsy kind of girl. My ideal forever home would be with an active person or couple who likes to hike or jog. I ’ ve been to the snow and had a blast! I ’ ve heard camping is just as much fun and ooohhh how I would love to dip my little honey colored toes into the ocean! There are so many exciting adventures that I just can’t wait to experience with my forever family. As much as I like to be out and about though, I know it’s important to take time to relax and chill. (Check out my 2 nd profile pic. Just a little Instagram worthy shot of me taking moment to smell the roses ... ohh I mean daisies. =) I’m always down for a night of snuggling on the sofa and watching TV. What ’ s in your Netflix que? I won ’ t hog the remote. I promise. I don ’ t want to brag ... but I ’ m totally house trained. I get along well with other dogs. I ’ ve even enjoyed meeting a few cool cats since I started living with my foster mom! My foster mom says I could be reactive toward men, but I would open up and bond with a forever dad if he was gentle and confident with me. I do need an adult household though without children. Go ahead and click on the Adoption Application link. I can ’ t wait to meet you so we can start our adventures together! Xoxo, Honey Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Honey is $250. If you are interested in adopting Honey, please complete our online adoption application at .gratefuldogsrescue/adoption-process.html. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

    Skeeter

    rescue
    Breed: Wapoo
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (short coat). If you looked up “good boy” in the dictionary you would see Skeeter’s picture. This 2-3 year old is 15lbs of pure tailwagging, happy go lucky smiles. This smart cookie is house trained and crate trained. He has also mastered sit and stay and will pick up additional obedience commands very quickly. Of course, offering treats and cookies during obedience training is a big plus in Skeeter’s book! He loves treats and toys anddoggie friends. He may be shy at first around larger dogs but once he warms up, he’s friendly andsociable. We’ve heard little Skeeter is a big hit with the gang at doggie day care! Just look at that sweet face! The chocolatey brown coat with a little curl in all the right places! And let’snot forget those amazing ears! Such a handsome, spirited boy. And speaking of ears; Skeeter says “Yes, they are a little bat-like. But that’s because I would make the perfect sidekick, just like Robin.” Will you be his Batman? This little guy is looking for his foreverdynamic duo (or family because he’s good with kids and cats too!) Skeeter would love walks in the park or a backyard where he can amuse himself for hours exploring or playing with his toys. He will do well as either a single dog or in a multi dog household. Skeeter is ready to cuddle on your lap or spend the day with you on an adventure. This good boy just wants to feel your love and give you so much in return. We know he can’t wait to meet you and join your family! Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Skeeter is $250. Stanley

    rescue
    Breed: Chiweenie
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Everyone loves Stanley. He is an adorable dog who gets along with the dogs in his foster home, and with cats. He also gets along with respectful children over the age of 10. Stanley has a lot of energy and loves going on long walks, playing in the dog park, or accompanying you on a run. Stanley is about 3 years old and 18 pounds. Stanley is extremely smart. He has worked with a dog trainer and knows some hand signals. Stanley already knows “sit”, “down”, and “shake”. He wants to learn more and really wants to please his person. Stanley is very food motivated, so using treats in training will be helpful. Stanley loves to play and is still learning about toys. He likes playing with other dogs, but can be shy around bigger dogs until he knows them. Stanley loves to cuddle and wrap himself in blankets. He is very affectionate and will often rest his head on your lap or shoulder. He sleeps in his crate or a doggy bed, but would much prefer to sleep on the big bed with his person. Stanley is house trained and crate trained, but may need a refresher in his new home. He also knows how to use the doggy door. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. Lily and Dai...

    rescue
    Breed: Chihuahua-Toy Fox Terrier Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Toy Fox Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Daisy & Lily are best friends! They were surrendered together and we believe were littermates. We are seeking a home that could take both Daisy & Lily as they are a bonded pair and would do best together. Their foster home has another Small-ish dog (~25#) and two cats, everyone gets along very nicely. Daisy, the chocolate one, acts like the older sister and is the dominant of the two. This just means she can be a little bossy with Lily but also cleans her face and ears like a good big sister. Daisy loves to play tug of war and can entertain herself easily. Daisy is a great cuddle buddy and is full of kisses, a very sweet soul. Unlike most small dogs, they’re not so fond of being carried around. With time and practice I expect they’ll come to love it. The girls are inexperienced and get scared easily, however, they absolutely love to go on walks! The girls do not have much experience socializing with humans or other doggies so they can be a bit skittish and bark when meeting new people. They are still learning the correct place to go potty. So frequent potty walks or trips outside are important. I think the girls would fit best in a household with someone who is happy and capable of giving them lots of cuddles and doesn’t mind dedicating time to help them develop confidence. The sisters are young so they still have a bit of energy and love to run around. They can be a bit mouthy and are learning the proper things to chew and bite. The best thing about adopting the pair is they already have another friendly, furry, playful friend to run around with at home. If you home has children, I think the girls would do best with children older than 10. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Daisy and Lily together is $400. If you are interested in adopting Daisy, please complete our online adoption application at .gratefuldogsrescue/adoption-process.html One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.
