    Breed: German Shepherd Dog

Kai is a great dog in a difficult location. Kai is a young healthy and handsome purebred black and tan German Sheepherd dog for private adoption in San Jose, CA. He is a big boy at 75 pounds, and is just 18 months old. Kai is neutered, micro-chipped, fully vaccinated, house Broken, leash trained and obedience trained. Kai’s owner loves him very much. She is devastated to have to find him a loving new home. Unfortunately, she is not able to give him the environment that he needs and deserves. Kai needs a family who owns their own home with a large, securely fenced yard. Right now, Kai's home and landlord situation is not good for a larger active dog. Kai can be shy at first, but once he is comfortable with you, there is no more devoted a dog. Kai is good with children and gets along very well with other dogs. He is a young dog, and needs space and activity to keep him happy and healthy. Kai will be rehomed with all supplies and veterinary records. Please offer this amazing German Shepherd dog the loving home he needs and deserves today. A beautiful German Shepherd dog like Kai is not easy to find, and we are confident that a good owner with room for Kai to enjoy will be found soon. Questions about Kai?? Text “Kai” to (888) 833-2128 or email AdoptKaidog-lover.us There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Some supplies and veterinary records will be included.

May is a beautiful, but lonely German Shepherd Dog to Adopt in Escondido CA May is a gorgeous 2 year old black and sable German Shepherd dog for adoption in Escondido, near San Diego, CA. May is good with cats and other dogs. She has not been around children, but her breed is among the best breeds of dog for respectful children. German Shepherds are loyal, devoted, affectionate and very intelligent. May has been lovingly cared for by her owner, a single working man. He loves her very much, but has come to realize that living in an apartment and staying home alone all day while he works is not the best situation for May. He worries that she is depressed and sad being alone all day, and that she needs more exercise, space and companionship than he can give her. May is looking for the best home ever. She needs a family with lots of time to spend with her, a house with a large, securely fenced yard, and the commitment to provide May with the happiest forever home a German Shepherd could ask for. May is in excellent health, and is spayed, up to date on shots and micro-chipped. If you have room in your heart and home for May the German Shepherd, please offer her a loving home today. There is a $300 adoption fee. May will be rehomed with all supplies and veterinary records. Questions about May? Contact our San Diego dog rehoming team. Text May to (888) 833-2128 or email Maydog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Breed: German Shepherd Dog

    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). If you're interested in adopting any SGSR dog, please read about our Adoption Process and fill out an Adoption Application. Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. My name is Sugar. I got my name because when I was originally rescued at age 1, the volunteers said my disposition was as sweet as sugar. My family agreed and thus, the name Sugar stayed. I am a beautiful, 3 year-old, black and silver German Shepherd. 3 is a great age for shepherds as they are still young and playful but also content to chill out with their family. Like most German Shepherds, I want to be with my people. I live with 2 small humans that let me sleep on their bed with them which is wonderful. I'm also happy to chill by my foster mom on the floor by her bed as the big humans don't let me on the furniture. I am a working dog and thus, love being worked - whether that work is learning a new skill or going for a walk. I love to play chase whether it's a ball or another active dog to whom I've been properly introduced. My humans say I seem to have a prey drive but I will respond to commands while walking - although I wish they'd let me have fun racing a squirrel or two. I live with another dog and sometimes we foster puppies. He tends to ignore them but I love letting them crawl over me and am very tolerant of their puppy tendencies. I've lived with another dog for the last 2 years and we are used to sharing toys, food and people. I will tend to wiggle my nose into your arm if I feel another dog is getting my share of the love to remind you that I crave it too. Once you acknowledge me, I am content to lay down. People say that I am a very smart dog and want to show it. The more consistency in working with me on the commands, the happier that I am because I like pleasing my people - and earning some treats as that is a big motivator for me. Speaking of people, I love them, especially my people. I love the people in my house and anyone that else that I see they welcome into their home. I love my people so much and feel that it's my job to protect them. They say it is best for me to be kept in "place" until I see that my family is ok with visitors. For that reason, I would be a great fit for a person or family that does not have a revolving door of daily guests. If you want a loyal, smart and loving companion, please come meet me. Who doesn't need a little extra Sugar in their life? I am being fostered in Fort Mill, SC. If you live in NC, MD or VA and would like to make Sugar a part of your family please contact your adoption coordinator. If you are not yet approved please complete an adoption application at our website .southeastgermanshepherdrescue. Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact sgsrescuegmail .

Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Gunner IS AVAILALBE (updated 01-17-2019).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Gunner, please visit our website below.coastalgsr/dog_profile.php?ID=21838&name=GunnerThere must be someone out there who loves to work their dogs! Gunner is sooo smart and sooo quick, he&#39d make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys training or working their dog. He&#39s already obedience trained, but craves the work and would probably be a rock star in agility. Around 2 years old, he is your typical GSD puppy with lots of energy who is smart as a whip, obedience trained, dog friendly, potty trained, good in the house, loves to run and play, and adores his people. He was confiscated from a very bad situation, but that didn&#39t dampen his spirit one bit. He&#39s adorable, loving, affectionate, playful, and needs a home with GSD experience or he will take the lead position. If you&#39re looking for a smart puppy who would love to be part of a family, Gunner is your boy!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.

For more information and the adoption application for Maple, please visit our website below.coastalgsr/dog_profile.php?ID=21887&name=MapleSadly, Maple almost lost her life because the shelter labeled her &#39Rescue Only,&#39 which means she wasn&#39t made available for public adoption. When we inquired as to why, we were told that she is excitable around other dogs and needs training. Are there any dogs that don&#39t need some training? We didn&#39t think so, so we rescued this cutie, around 2 years old, and promised to help her find a family of her own. This beauty is super affectionate, wicked smart, great on a leash, basic obedience trained, and gorgeous. OK, she wants to be the only dog, but she&#39s doing you a favor! Do you know how expensive it is to care for two dogs? And cleaning two times the dog hair? Using two times the lint brushes? Buying two times the toys and treats? Two times the flea and tick prevention? We could go on, but we hope you&#39re starting to see that Maple is like a warm, loving, soft savings account.Maple&#39s a people pleaser and is constantly working on improving her obedience game (she&#39s almost a Jedi Master). She adores people, big or small, and, although she can be near other dogs without losing her mind, she would prefer a home with no other canines. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. (The mother was Gretchen, who is also available for adoption.) Their owner was a BYB who was not able to care for Apollo, Gretchen, nor the H litter, so Coastal GSR took them all in, because we leave no dog behind. Apollo is 4 years old and ready to experience a real life. He&#39s ready for walks, family time, camping trips, dinner & a movie, getting upset about who has the remote control, and everything that comes with being part of the family. If you have GSD experience and are the kind of person who knows that some dogs need more time to come out of their shell, especially ones who were just kept in a backyard and asked to breed over and over, then you&#39re the kind of person this handsome boy has been waiting to meet. Apollo is good with other dogs, but timid around people he doesn&#39t know, as he was never socialized in his previous home. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog. Carly B IS AVAILALBE (updated 01-17-2019).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Carly B, please visit our website below.coastalgsr/dog_profile.php?ID=21796&name=Carly BWe rescued Carly with her 3 puppies when they were about 2 weeks old. The pups eyes were not even open yet. They had a 4th sibling that was given away prior to us rescuing them. Carly B was significantly smaller than her siblings and was also missing a toe on her left hind foot. This probably happened when she was born as she had a scab where the toe should have been. It didn&#39t affect her mobility then or now. Carly B continued to fall behind her siblings when they began weaning and she was diagnosed with Mega-esophagus back in March. She quickly fell behind her already larger siblings due to not being able to keep her food down. With no other option, the vet inserted a stomach tube to give her much needed nutrients and also to give her esophagus a rest. The feeding tube combined with oral medications and upright feeding did the trick and Carly B started to get back on track. Once she was eating well by mouth her feeding tube was removed. Carly B eats canned food formed into small meatballs and requires a Bailey Chair to keep her upright while eating and for 10 - 20 minutes after. She is also on a few medications to help move the food through her GI tract. She also gets liquids in her chair so gravity can help everything get to her stomach and stay there. The vet will continue to monitor her condition as she grows up and we are hoping with good management her condition will continue to improve. We now feel that she is ready to start to find a family who is ready to take on her special needs. She is doing well on 2 meals a day and is gaining weight and growing like a weed. Now 14 months old, she is a happy active pup, who loves to play. She is incredibly smart and learns quickly. She will do best with a family who will keep her mind and body active. She loves other dogs so we would love to place her in a home that has another playful dog in the house. She is a typical German Shepherd puppy who is looking for a family with German Shepherd experience committed to training her and ensuring she grows up to be well socialized adult. Raising a puppy is hard work, but very rewarding. A feeding chair will be provided with Carly B&#39s adoption. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500.
