Posted Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Please contact Fran Kreger (k9kids4adoption@gmail.com), (541) 926-5629 for more information about this pet. My name is Verleen, and I am a very sweet, little 4-5 year old girl, weighing about 11 pounds. I adore people, but also like to play with the other dogs here. II had a dental done and they pulled some of my loose teeth, but I can still eat small kibbles just fine. I would do best in an adult household or maybe older children would be best for me.... I do like to bark when I get excited. I do love belly rubs and to be cuddled. I would love to have a lap of my own. If you might be my new family, Please email k9kids4adoption@gmail.com for an application, and tell us a little about the home you have for me, where you are located, and a phone number would also be nice. The application, an adoption fee of $100, and a great home, with a fenced yard, and allot of attention is required. I will come with my collar, leash, and micro-chipped, and all the love I can give.....Please....I am waiting...

    Bella

    rescue
    Breed: Jack Chi
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed. A SWEET & PRETTY GIRL: 8 years old / 12 lbs. Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. Hi, I’m Bella – a sweet and inquisitive girl who lost my home due to medical issues in the family. I am sad to leave my family, but I am also relieved that Mostly Mutts was there to take me in and help me to find my new furever home. My mom, Abby, also came to Mostly Mutts with me, so if you’re looking for 2 nice girls, please consider us together though it’s not required that we be adopted together. My potty manners were said to be good in my former home, though I did use pee pads too, so I may need a little encouragement in my new home to know what you expect. At the MM facility I’m being taken outside on a schedule. Also use caution at doors, so I don’t slip out as I wouldn’t want to get lost or hurt. I’m reported to be good with some dogs by my former owner – though I was a bit possessive of treats in my previous home, so if you have a dog, let’s meet to see if we can be pals. I am new to the shelter, so I am slightly shy though I am loving the attention I’m getting and have a very sweet, gentle nature. I recently got to go home with a nice volunteer, and she described me as a polite, quiet little lady and a perfect house guest! I know I’ll be a great addition to a loving family seeking a laid-back dog! My former owners also said I was good with kids, but it would probably be best if there were no young children in my new home as I am small. Come meet me and see if I can be your new best friend! Energy level: 4-6 I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.

Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed. Gorkz...he was shot twice with BB's. One went straight through and the other is still lodged inside of him. Dr says it'll be better to just leave it and let him heal. Trying to get it out would cause too much damage. He is a sweet boy, we cannot understand why someone would shoot him. He's super sweet, walks on a leash, crate trained, and we're working with him and other dogs. He ignores the cats and doesn't know a stranger. He's probably 5 or 6 and came from a hoarder situation. He really needs a home!

    Jackson

    rescue
    Breed: Jack Chi
    Sex: Male Male
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 250.00. Jackson is a sweet, playful, young 1 year old (vet's best guess.) He is a Chi-terrier mix, maybe Jack Russel? He jumps high! He gets along with our two dogs and two cats, and loves to fetch! We are crate/potty training him and he's learning well. He barks at my dogs to try and get them to play, and he'll bark to let you know he's awake in the morning & needs to go out to potty. He is very social and is a snuggle bug when he tires out. He loves attention; he was rescued from the street, then from the shelter into POLAR foster care. If you can give him the love and attention he craves, he'll make an incredible addition to your family. He is easy to love. Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application. Adoption fee of $250 includes neuter/spay, microchip, heartworm testing, deworming, vaccinations, and other necessary procedures. Applications without a phone number will not be processed. Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab. We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.

    TRITON

    rescue
    Breed: Jack Chi
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 550. Please contact Jenny Cope (giveadogahome@live.com) for more information about this pet. All pets adopted out will be spay/neutered, micro-chipped, de-wormed,heartworm tested, rabies and relevant vaccinations. NO DOG WILL BE ADOPTED TO BE AN OUTSIDE DOG! If you would like to start the adoption our process is below: Submit Application with two personal references and a vet reference. As long as we are able to contact your vet and references, it takes just 1-3 days to process and hopefully approve applications. Rescue processes and hopefully approves applications. Once approved, rescue invites applicant to come to the rescue to meet your chosen dog/s, spend time with him/her and then hopefully take him/her home. Once approved you are more than welcome to come and spend as long as you like with her/him . I just have to work on an appointment basis as I run a boarding/day care business and the rescue and so am really busy, but by planning ahead of time I can be pretty flexible. http://www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org/adoption-application.html Triton was saved from one of the shelters we work with in Texas. He is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed, heart-worm tested negative and micro-chipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 9 June 2016 and has an estimated weight of 13.80 pounds. He has been listed as a Chihuahua mix. We have no way of knowing the true breed, it is up to you to decide what you think his breed/s is. He arrived at the rescue in Sebec on 16th December 2017. When Triton first arrived at the rescue he was extremely shy and scared, he would stay curled up in the corner and sit and watch. He would freeze if I went up to go and stroke him, but was never aggressive. After a few days, he started to relax a lot more and started to enjoy his petting sessions. After about a week he started wanting to explore and whilst still not at the point where he was ready to wrestle and play with the other dogs his curiosity was taking over his shyness. Over the following few weeks he has truly decompressed and come out of his shell. He will jump up on the coach for cuddles, he will go to one of the several toy baskets and choose a toy to play with, he will play with the other dogs and now more often than not instigate play. He will follow me to the kitchen when it is "treat time" and hold his own amongst the hustle and bustle with the other dogs. Triton can be a bit growly when he has a toy, a hoof, a horn or a treat. He has never been aggressive but doesn't want other dogs coming near him whilst he is eating or playing with his toy. He is good playing with other dogs and toys, but this is more when he has a toy on his own. He has tried to intimidate the other dogs by going up to them and staring and having a little growl whilst they have something he wants, even with the German Shepherds, but this generally falls on deaf ears and when he knows they are not going to give up what they have to him he will go on the hunt for something else to entertain himself. Again he is not aggressive, but he does like his own space when he has something. He has never bitten or attacked any other dogs and I am able to take anything away from him at any time I please with no response. At first Triton was doing his business near the patio door, then as he started to explore he would use the pee pads I have down for a few puppies and since his confidence has grown he uses the dog door and comes and goes in and out as he pleases. I always recommend that families expect some accidents as it is a stressful transition and until dogs get settled and learn their new routine they may have a few accidents. Although Triton is a small dog he is still young and an active lifestyle would suit him. I do not know how he is on the leash and so the adopter must be prepared for some work with training him, once he has learnt to trust and happy and settled in his new life I do believe he will become someone's shadow and enjoy being social and adventurous. So a family that enjoys a somewhat active lifestyle would be beneficial. Someone who understand that he will need training and guidance and learns that humans are in charge so boundaries are set. He is going to enjoy an outdoors kind of family who can give him the lifestyle that he needs. Going on road trips, to new places, hikes and adventures and letting him explore the sights, smells and sounds the world has to offer will be to his and your benefit. He is going to need a family that understands the importance of basic and advanced training. We advise that families work on their own basic training so that boundaries and expectations can be set and personalities and body language learnt in the process, which will help form a much stronger bond. We do not recommend dog parks for several weeks, if not months, it is so very important for families and dogs to form a strong bond and get to know each other before exposing them to the potential dangers of dog parks. Although all GaDaH dogs are very well socialized with other dogs, lots of other dogs have not had the benefit of this socialization and do not always know how to play and act with other dogs. You also do not know the control the other families have over their dogs and you should always have a good recall for your adopted dog before going to dog parks. Triton will make a great family addition to an experienced family who understands that he might need time to adapt and he might be nervous and unsure initially but know that he has huge potential once allowed to decompress and feel safe and loved. He is fun, active and very loving and deserves a good family and home to call his own. Triton is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $550. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the APPLICATION tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 2-4 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then you complete and submit the contract, make payment and then we can work out the pick up / transport arrangements. Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. http://www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org Triton is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx 8 miles) and approx 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend. If there are options to arrange transport, we will work with you to make it happen. Mowgli

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Jack Chi
    Sex: Male Male
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Mowgli has come a long way from where he was when he first came to his foster family from the shelter. He has quickly adapted to life in a home. He has gone from being terrified and shut down to wanting his foster mom to pet him, give him kisses, and plating with his foster siblings! He has gone from being food aggressive to having his kennel open and eating right next to other dogs, learning tricks, and jumping in bed and snuggling with his foster family. Mowgli is a playful and loving and may come as a shy dog at first but once you give him a chance he will return the same love and care times a thousand! Mowgli is currently working on being house trained. He already knows to go potty in puppy pads and once he lets us know he’s ready he will graduate to leash training and going outside.
