    Penny

    rescue
    Breed: Labradoodle
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (medium coat). PENNY is a 1 yr old Labradoodle (Lab/Poodle mix) who was adopted from us as a pup. She was shy as a young pup and still needs some time to warm up but once she does, she is a wonderful, loving companion. Penny is tall, lean and athletic and will make an excellent hiking companion. We are looking for a family who will follow through with the required obedience class that she didn’t receive as a pup and continue with her socialization and confidence building by getting her out and about and introducing her to new people, places and things. Penny has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Please fill out an application at panimals if you are the family we are looking for! Adoption $250.

    Romeo

    rescue
    Breed: Labradoodle
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (medium coat). Romeo is a 7 year old, neutered black lab mix. He is an energetic, fun, playful dog who requires plenty of physical activity. He is a natural retriever and enjoys a good game or three of fetch especially in the water. He is playful (though at times can be rough), lovable and seeks out human affection and attention. He is very food and toy motivated. He does resource guard toys, food and prized human possessions especially shoes and children's toys. He enjoys car rides. He's very curious with cats perhaps more than some cats would like or tolerate. He generally ignores other dogs especially if he's playing ball. He had a good Labrador retriever friend he played with daily and nicely for years until the dog moved away. He used to live in a small apartment and was not happy so a small living space would not be a good fit for Romeo. He's house trained exceptionally well (never had an accident) and knows how to politely tap the door to go out to the washroom. Romeo loves playing outdoors and car rides are very exciting for him. He has a fun and funny personality often wearing a silly smile; he's learned to get strangers at the park to play with him with a cute smile and tail wag. He has a special affinity for finding lost balls and enjoys a game of Scavenger Hunt whenever possible. His speed is quite impressive and has most people in the park in awe. He likes to give 'paw' when asked and is always happy to have new places to explore. He understands commands like leave it and down and is always so respectful of squirrels despite his love of chasing things. He often licks and chews when he's anxious. At times, he's been reactive to stimuli while on leash. He can become fearful and doesn't cope well at the vet. He is currently on Prozac but is being reassessed in a few weeks. His ideal home would be one without cats or kids and have plenty of space inside and outside. He does well with some dogs. He requires a human with an active outdoor lifestyle who can commit to the daily need for exercise he has. Though he enjoys leashed walks he needs greater physical and mental stimulation. A patient, loving home who has experience with large dogs would be best to manage behavior and provide consistent training.

Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed. Thank you for stopping by to see me! Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting. If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <underdogrescuepetml> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending! DOB: 7/1/17 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Requires a fenced yard: Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Say a big hello to Jethro. He’s a laid back 1.5 year old, 50lb Labradoodle. He’s loving, easygoing, and really just learning how to be a dog. He loves to chew on bones and he will chew on anything he finds, so he learning not to do that. He will skid at loud noises and doesn’t like the adult male in his foster house to feed or walk him, but he is coming around to other males that he’s been around. He does walk outside occasionally and doesn’t pull on the leash either. He loves to play outside with the other dogs in a fenced in yard. In fact, a fenced in yard is a must. He’s only had a few accidents in the house, so his house training is coming along. He does whine in a crate though, so he has some crate anxiety. He’s learning a command word for ‘outside’ and ‘sit’ too. He does great with all friendly dogs and loves to play with the resident black lab. He’s kid tested and approved as well. He’s a quiet guy that will bark only when other dogs bark. It sounds like Jethro is making great strides and with the right home, he’ll really be able to become the dog he was meant to be. Plan to come out to meet him today. He’d sure love to meet you! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: .underdogrescuemn/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at .underdogrescuemn/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website .underdogrescuemn/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Oliver

    rescue
    Breed: Labradoodle
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Poodle (Standard) / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: $200. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Just a lost soul swimming in a fish bowl. Date into Rescue: Originally 3/29/16 and he was returned December 2017 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release due to a change in the owner's life Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Yes - behavior. Oliver was adopted in May of 2016 but returned to us primarily for biting several people. He was so friendly when he was first here; we are not really sure why this changed happened in Oliver. He needs someone to understand him. He does not like being bothered while in his crate. To him that is his space and no one else's. He WILL warning growl at you while in his crate to let you know he does not want to be bothered. He also does not like anyone messing with his food. If he is not familiar with you, then he does not like you being in his face. He needs his trust earned before you go romp and play in the fields with him. Oliver has not bitten anyone at our rescue, but he has shown his teeth and snapped when engaging in play with a caregiver he isn't familiar with. With the caregivers he is familiar with he is his normal sweet and silly self outside of his crate. He eventually turns into a dog that loves attention, baby talk, and playing. Weight: 53 lb Height: About 24 in at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Oliver needs an all adult home that has a soft spot for troubled souls and is familiar with moody dogs. What is my personality like? Oliver is a mocking bird, if you are quiet and reserved, he is also quiet and reserved. If you are rough and running around, he is also rough and running around. He notices everything and is very curious. He is extremely loving and playful. Oliver's personality really depends on you. He loves to be a couch potato but he will also go for a long run when you want to. Oliver knows how to sit, shake, and lay down (with a reward of a treat of course! :) ) He loves to go for long walks beside you and then roll around in the grass on his back. How do I act when I first meet new people? Oliver was originally very loving and affectionate to people, but he is no longer as open to strangers and needs patience. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 2/24/2018 Reason for being in rescue: Pulled from a GA shelter. Doc was seized in neglect case and taken to the shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Special Needs? skin issues Weight: 30 lbs Height: unknown Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $249 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Doc is still learning what it means to be someone's pet. He needs an experienced owner that will work with him to teach him basic commands, reward him with lots of positive affirmations, and give him the time and support he needs to blossom into the dog he can be. What is my personality like? Seven dogs were seized in a neglect case and brought to Carolina Poodle Rescue. As there were seven, they were named for the seven dwarfs--this is Doc. None of the dogs had had much medical care before coming to Carolina Poodle Rescue. We think that none of them had ever been inside a house before either. All of the dogs from this situation were listed as miniature labradoodles. Doc is a sweet older guy who can still play like a puppy. He has a great temperament and personality in spite of being neglected for much of his life. In a home with a person or people to love him and provide him with stability and training, he would finally know what it's like to be part of a family. Imagine how he might blossom then! He already knows how to be clean in his crate which is a big step toward housetraining. Doc can be slightly dog selective but he gets a long really well with most dogs. He isn't food aggressive and knows how to politely take a treat when one is offered. We estimate Doc to be around 11 years old but don't tell him that! He doesn't know that he's an older guy. He still has a lot of playfulness in him and is ready to enjoy a whole new life! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: House trained?
