    Bruno

    Breed: Labrottie
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Rottweiler / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Bruno is 2 years old and 55 lbs. This boy came from a very sad situation. The day he was picked up, he was in a pen by himself and appeared to have little interaction with humans or other dogs. He was very scared and had to be carried into the vehicle to save him. Bruno is a shy dog who has come out of his shell a lot, in the past weeks. He is more comfortable in his space, but when he feels comfortable he will come out for petting and interaction with other dogs. He really wants to give you a kiss, but he just does not know how. Bruno handles being around other dogs well, however, he is not too much for play, yet. He does like to collect toys and take them back to his space. This boy is very sweet and will become a great dog for someone who will give him space and allow him to feel safe in their home. Bruno will warm up quickly. He is house trained and so gentle. A well-balanced dog and a fenced yard, would be a great fit for him. A little patience will go a long way with Bruno, and he will bring much joy to a family home. A big plus for Bruno is that he does not get overly excited and will not be on top of things or all over his person, when there are exciting times. A must meet, for he will steal your heart for sure. (IF YOU DO NOT GET A REPLY EMAIL WITHIN 24 HOURS, CHECK YOUR SPAM BOX AND SEND US YOUR PHONE NUMBER, FOR WE REPLY EVERY FEW HOURS TO EMAILS) PREGNANT DOG RESCUE is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility, specializing in pregnant dogs, moms with newborns, and small or medium adult dogs (we take in pregnant dogs, we do not adopt out pregnant dogs). We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! (We often have puppies and moms not listed on the site, for they might be too young at the moment to list, so please, contact us to be sure of our available pups!) We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. PREGNANT DOG And ALL BREED RESCUE puppies are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health. Our Puppies are current on vaccines, wormed, and extremely well cared for from birth - most even know how to use a dog door by the time they leave us! They are friendly and social and very affectionate! We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! PDR has an application screening process. All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit. We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs. Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility. We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam! (We all know how emails can be at times!)Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm and lyme tested, and free of fleas and ticks. We temperament test our dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough). They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily. All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $450. (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)

Posted Breed: Rottweiler / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Hi! My name is Bridget Widget and I am looking for my forever home. I lived my entire life on a chain. I am now rescued and excited to never be on a chain again! I can be shy when I first meet new people but after I warm up I am very sweet and loving! I love to play with toys and I LOVE getting love. I am one of the best snugglers- EVER! I also love treats- maybe a bit too much as I am working to get off some extra weight. I really am a great girl and I would love to be your best friend! Name: Bridget Widget Breed: Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever Sex: Female Age: 9 years old Weight: 71 pounds Spayed/Neutered: Will be before adoption Vaccinations: Up to date Heartworm: Negative Microchipped: Yes BASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Yes- gets along well with everyone! Good with Dogs: Yes- does well with other dogs! Good with Cats: Passed initial cat test. This means I may do well with other dogs with proper introductions. Adoption Donation: 300.00 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in a specific dog, please fill out an application if you are interested in a dog. The number of individual inquiries is overwhelming and we are finding it difficult to respond to each one. We cannot guarantee you will receive a timely response. Paws New England is a rescue, not a shelter, and as such we do not have our dogs housed in one location - they are in foster homes both in New England and in our southern foster homes. If you're interested in a specific dog, please complete a short online application and you will receive a reply within 48 hours so you can ask questions. At present, if a dog is listed on our website, the dog is considered still available HOWEVER, may have applications that have come in before yours but it's still too early to know if any are a good match; therefore we encourage you to apply. NOTICE WITH REGARD TO LOCATION OF DOGS: Please note: Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a brick and mortar building to house the dogs we rescue. We have found that dogs in foster homes are much more adoptable because they have been observed in a home setting. Dogs listed with Paws New England typically reside in various locations throughout the south (primarily Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas) and New England (not necessarily in the state of Rhode Island). You will be notified by the adoption coordinator of the location of the dog you are interested in so you have the ability to decide whether to pursue adoption or not. Dogs transported to New England are done so at a fee of $150.00 paid directly to the transporting company by Paws New England; no additional transport costs are responsibility of adopter. This fee is included in the adoption donation. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your dog will help others in need. All known information about the animal is listed above. We do our best to give accurate information, but most of our dogs are rescues and do not come with a known history. Paws New England abides by the dog importation regulations set forth in the states of MA, CT, NH and RI.

    Age: Adult

Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Rottweiler / Mixed. Reggie is an 8 year old, very mellow, low energy male Lab/Rottie Mix. He and his 9 siblings were rescued from a roadside ditch as tiny puppies and grew up at the K9 Savior Sanctuary in Tennessee. Now, at 8 years old, Reggie was selected to move to a Paws New England foster home to prepare for adoption. Reggie loves other dogs and has no reaction to chickens or cats in their kennel; although, he hasn’t officially been cat-tested yet, we expect him to do well. His foster mom has never heard him bark (not yet anyway). Reggie’s foster mom has nothing but good things to say about this gentle boy! – He is well behaved with a pleasant, calm disposition. – He learns quickly and is making progress with his leash training, but still has a way to go! – He is housebroken with a doggy door and keeps his bedding and toys neat; however, Reggie does not like to share his favorite toys or bones with other dogs. – He loves to please people, but can be mouthy for attention, so better with older children. – His winning smile is irresistible!! This super sweet fella is always happy, gets along great with other dogs and loves people! He rides well in the car. Greets people instantly with a smile and wags his tail. He will be an amazing addition to your family! Please consider adopting this fun, loving dog who has never had a family to call his own! He will be ready to travel as of April 27th. Posted Breed: Rottweiler / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). MEET DOC! Could this sweetheart be your forever best pal? Doc is a gentleman, a lover, and is ready to find out what the good life is all about. He arrived at animal control as a stray after what must have been years of hard living. Suffering from heartworm disease and arthritis, he’s received his heartworm treatment, has been neutered, and is getting all the vet care and meds needed to give him the relief he deserves. Despite his past, this gentle fellow is a great leash walker, happy to go just about anywhere you will take him, and loves affection and being petted. We think “Lover” may be Doc’s middle name since he wants to be close to his people more than anything. If you’re looking for the sweetest companion ever, a gentle old fellow who will ask only for love, a soft, cushy, bed, and a few walks from time to time—then Doc is your boy. Doc is a neutered 50-lb Rottie/Lab mix, about 9 to 10 years young, fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, and housetrained.

    Beanie Pup -...

    Breed: Labrottie
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Rottweiler / Mixed. Meet the Beanie Pups! Born to mama Beanie in an experienced and loving foster home, these cuties received the upmost care and attention, but now they are patiently waiting to be adopted into their forever families. These babies are around 2 months of age and are so gentle with tender personalities. They love to play and romp in the yard - hiding behind various items for that perfect moment to pounce on their siblings! Mama Beanie is around 50 pounds and has some of the markings of a Rottweiler, but could also have some Lab in her. The pups have some of mom's look as well as possibly Shepherd and perhaps Pit Bull, but no matter the mix, they have the sweetest dispositions and will grow up into loyal and softhearted adults. We expect they will grow to be larger breed dogs with a need for a yard and play space. Adzuki is one of the girls, and she is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. She has the cutest hound-like bark/howl when she greets you or gets excited! Adzuki loves to play tug-of-war and her toys, so if you're looking for a loving pup who likes to play, Adzuki is your girl! We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting a puppy, then fill out an adoption application on our website today! This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption. Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. Please take a moment and go to www.labsandmore.org and click on Adopt to complete our free online dog adoption application.
