    Alley

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Olde Bulldog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Bulldog / English Bulldog / Mixed. Alley was abandoned by her owner and left to fend for herself. Her water supply was a algae filled pool and had no food. She was afraid and alone. She finally let one of our staff catch her in her alley way. So we named her Alley. She had many dog bites and was injured. Since she has been rescued she is so happy and healthy now, but she looks forward to being an inside dog in her forever home. PLEASE NOTE: We require all interested parties to come to the shelter to meet the pet, complete an adoption application, and interview with our Director. We do not do same day adoptions or ship animals. For additional information on our adoption policies, visiting hours and directions please go to Abandoned Pet Rescue.

    Breed: Olde Bulldog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). ADOPTION APPLICTAION: http://pregnantdogrescue.org/dog-adoption-application/ Hazel is a 4-5yr female Bulldog mix who weighs 65 lbs. She is a low key, quiet and gentle girl who does not ask for much. We rescued her from under an abandoned collapsing trailer along with her litter of puppies. They were all so scared and starving. It took multiple visits and the neighbors help to catch them all. Hazel is now fully vetted and ready for a new life. She was treated for heartworms and is available to a home where she can be the princess. Hazel is learning that walks and car rides are fun. She is shy with new people, but warms up quickly with treats! Hazel is good with other submissive dogs. Not sure about cats. Would suggest a home with older kids or no kids. Adoption fee $150. If interested please fill out an adoption application on our website www.pregnantdogrescue.org or email info@pregnantdogrescue.org or call 404-997-2831 If interested in adopting please call 404-997-2831 or email info@pregnantdogrescue.org

    Oscar

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Olde Bulldog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: English Bulldog / American Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). My name is Oscar. I was found as a stray by Rancho Cucamonga shelter and pulled by PATCH Rescue March 2017. I am a male English/American Bulldog mix, born approximately September 2015 and approximately 70 pounds. I am a couch potato that does not understand I am really too big to be a lap dog. I LOVE my people. I am okay with all dogs but can get rough in my play, so small dogs could by a bad idea; however, my best friend in foster care is Tanner a Basenji/Chihuahua mix approximately 15 pounds. First introductions are key with Oscar meeting new dogs. I am a pretty good boy who would make someone a GREAT dog but being every sense of the word bully, I can be stubborn! PATCH cleared up my demodectic mange but the vet said I probably have a chronic type of mange that can be managed with Bravecto but this is something I will need to take for life. I am what they call a reactive dog, so if you have other dogs and they growl or get reprimanded I will get in on it aggressively. My adoption fee includes, I am neutered, up to date on core vaccines (5 in 1, bordetella & rabies), dewormed, microchipped, mange cleared and Bravecto given once every 12 weeks. If Interested PLEASE contact PATCH Rescue Inc. patchrescue@gmail.com or (760) 706-0728 http://www.adoptapet.com/adoption_rescue/93645.html Please keep in mind we are 100% volunteer run, so we all have our real jobs, it could take 24 to 48 hours to receive a response. Thank you for considering adoption to save two lives!

    BRAVO

    rescue
    Breed: Olde Bulldog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). MEET BRAVO!! He's a laid back, quiet, happy-go-lucky dog! Bravo likes his squeaky toys and going on walks. He's easy-going, polite, and never barks! He is good in the bath and in the car. As long as he gets his walks in during the day, he is super chill and naps a ton! Bravo is very protective and follows you from room to room so he can lay at your feet. He will do best with a yard, and if in a home with a dog, it's preferred that the dog is also laid back. He behaves well when being fitted with his harness. Hopping in and out of cars seems to be new to him, but he doesn’t mind being lifted into the car -- and with some patience and coaxing, he'll hop out. Once Bravo is in the car, he enjoys the ride and he is a very good co-pilot! While in the shelter, a volunteer too Bravo went on a day outing where they shared lunch on the way to the trail. Although he was very hungry, Bravo took his food with manners and politely. When we arrived at the park, he was hesitant to get out of the car. But once he was out, he was so excited to start exploring! Bravo is drawn to people, and the sound of people, however he never intrudes in their space or approaches for affection or attention. He was also drawn to the water elements throughout the trail walk, whether it was the creek beds or the lakes. Bravo is a good sport when it comes to trying things that are outside he was uncomfortable with such as crossing small bridges and traversing down the side of small hills. Many things seemed new to him, however after once succeeded, he was ready to try it again and again! Bravo does make it clear when he doesn’t want to go one direction or try something new… he simply puts the brakes on! He doesn’t move… however once again, with some coaxing and patience he starts to move again. Trust is a big deal for him! We hiked and walked nearly two miles, and along the way he started chasing grasshoppers and butterflies like it was his mission to clear the path of them. It was funny to watch and he really enjoyed himself. From the trails, we took the long way to pet store. Bravo settled in and fell fast asleep in the car! When we arrived at the pet store, Bravo was like a little kid trying to figure out where he was, another brand new place where he had never been! An elderly couple stopped us and asked to pet him. Bravo is very polite to anyone who approaches him and asks to pet him however he stays a bit aloof. Inside the store he had a great time looking around and meeting more people. Bravo seems to be as sight driven as he is scent driven, he was the same at the park. He is very engaged with his surroundings. Bravo had very good manners during our shopping trip and was sure to put the brakes on as we walked out the front doors. He likes shopping! Overall, Bravo is a smart young dog who will benefit from more positive interactions with different environments and varied outings. He enjoys adventures, and simply needs someone who'll be patient while he figures it all out. Although Bravo comes across as independent, he is a sweetheart who clearly wants to bond with the someone who'll be his everything. He’s waiting for that human....

    Santos

    rescue
    Breed: Olde Bulldog
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: American Bulldog / English Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $175. Age: 4 years old approximately Weight: 80 pounds As we are a 100%-volunteer organization, Santos currently lives in a foster home. This is what the foster family has to say: Hey all! Santos here! Foster ma says we should all get to know each other a little better, so....I'll go first! I'm somewhere around 3 years old, is what the doctor has told me. I'm a husky boy of about 80 lbs, but I think I carry it pretty well. I'm aware that I could stand to drop a pound or two, but I'm comfortable in my skin, so I'm not too worried. I love going on car rides, especially when I'm going to one of the cool places that has a lot of people and even more FOOD! I don't ask the humans for food though, I just like to sit or lay on your feet and watch the world go by. I know that the best way to get myself paid is to mind my manners and be polite, so that's what I do! I'm comfortable with people of all ages, shapes, and sizes, as long as they're willing to stop and give me a little love. It's ok if they don't, but I'd much rather say hello! I think I'm alright with most dogs, as long as we're introduced properly. Cats, well, the humans all say that I'm not allowed to be around cats. I don't quite understand why...maybe it's because I REALLY like them!? Either way, cats are apparently a "no go" for me. That's enough about me for now. Hopefully we can meet soon, and I can find out all about you!!! xoxo, Santos **************************************************************************** Santos is available for adoption through Spirit Canine Rescue.Santos requires a fenced yard! To adopt Santos, please visit our website http://www.spiritcaninerescue.org/adopt.html for more information and to complete an application. A home visit will be required prior to adoption. She loves hanging out on the couch with her people and enjoys chasing tennis balls. Gaia's adoption Fee is $200.00. She is spayed and has current vaccinations. We strongly recommend training as it helps build bonds between the adopter and the dog as well as sets boundaries and establishes good patterns for life time commitment. Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). MEET ROCKO!! **Please Note: This is a courtesy post for another rescue; different adoption fees/policy apply. >>>Rocko is on the euthanasia list for Friday. If you are interested in Adopting (or fostering) pleast contact Andrea ASAP: 520-762-8137 Home 520-307-9481 Cell This 1 year old puppy is super happy, playful, very sweet and loves ALL people including kids. He has done well with some dogs, but not all, so he may need to be the only dog in the home. The last female he met he had no issues with. Rocko loves walks but is not yet great on the leash, so he will need someone willing to continue working on his leash manners. He would make a great walking/running/hiking partner. Rocko is basically still a puppy, so he is still very "bouncy" and jumps a bit-- not rough, just playfully. He's a strong boy, so he'd most likely do best with older kids in the home. He is super smart, and will come and sit when called. If you plan to meet Rocko at the shelter, please be sure to take his Animal ID: ROCKO - ID #A200435 For more information or to meet this pet, please complete an application or send email to info@underdogaz.com If you're reading this via a pet-search site, please view this pet's page at www.UnderdogAZ.com/animals for more photos and details.

    KIKI

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Olde Bulldog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Bulldog / American Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). MEET KIKI! She is courtesy posted for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. Approximately 4 years old and looking for a furever home! Kiki is a 4 Yr old fun loving happy energy girl! She's ready for a full on jog with a smile on her face from the moment she leaves her kennel. You can't help but smile when you're with her. Here are notes from her Day Foster mom: She tries her best to hop into the car but she appreciates a friendly boost. She takes a minute to settle in then she's ready for her job of co-pilot. She enjoys watching out all of the windows and taking in all the sights. During our 4-mile hike we walked along the edge of the pond, discovered giant ducks, met a very nice lady, explored the top of a mountain with a pyramid and enjoyed our time together. The whole time Kiki stayed engaged in her environment, showed perfect manners when the lady asked to pet her and kept perfect pace the entire 4 miles. She showed that she’s agile on the rocks, enjoys exploring and takes your queues very well on the trail. A perfect hiking partner! Our fun continued after we shared some burgers and fries. She a perfect lunch date, good company and good manners. We stopped by a park with wide open grassy area, a playground, more ducks and dogs running their fence lines. Since there were no other dogs in the park we had the opportunity to use our long lead and Kiki LOVED having some extra room to RUN! She LOVES to run, not just jog! She is so athletic! As we switched back to our regular leash a person went riding by on their bike with their dog. Kiki just stood there and watched with no reaction. We walked the park passing another very high energy dog running his fence line which caught her attention. She began to respond to his high energy so we went another direction. Kiki seems to do much better with calmer, more polite energy not directed at her in public settings. As we began to leave the park a mom asked if she and her two young sons could pet her. Kiki was aloof for a brief moment then turned and put her body into the mom allowing her and the boys to pet her. Kiki was appreciative once again of the calm and polite manner of the people interacting with her. Before we left Kiki surprised me with what she discovered… the slide on the playground. I allowed her to investigate it. She climbed the stairs, stood there for a moment and slid down on her own. She did this multiple times, making me laugh each time! We ended our day with a stop at the pet store. She didn’t seem as enthusiastic about her visit to the store as the parks. She was gracious and showed good manners. During our day together, Kiki would sit with her eyes closed in the car but didn’t lay down until we were on our way back. She truly doesn’t want to waste a moment of life! Overall, Kiki is a confident, smart, engaged, athletic girl who enjoys the company of the people who take the time to get to know her. She appreciates calm and polite energy and returns the same. She is much more than what you see by simply visiting her at her kennel, she is a true treasure for an active, adventurous person! Kiki is bossy and pushy with other dogs-- we think she would most likely do best as the only dog in the home. Here's Kiki's 2nd bio from another Day Foster Mom: "She’s Sooo Much More Than You See! Kiki is the girl people walk by in her kennel assuming she is a low energy, couch potato, only goes on walks kind of girl. She doesn’t cause much of a fuss in her kennel, she can have a bit of a serious look on her face and simply waits her turn for attention. So PLEASE… I invite you to MEET Kiki!!! I had the absolute pleasure of spending the day away from the shelter with her!!! Before starting our day together on the trail (as I do with all my friends) we stopped for some breakfast. As I was handing her bites of her breakfast biscuits she was taking them ever so politely and still watching out the window curiously to see where we were going. When we arrived at the trails I saw that she had delicately left all the egg in one spot of the back seat while eating the rest. I couldn’t help but laugh, she was soooo polite about “making a mess”!!! LOL She was sooooo happy to get out, stretch her legs, enjoy the brisk morning air, discover ginormous ducks, walk the edge of the pond and HIKE!!! We met a very nice lady who asked to pet her and Kiki was very sweet while the lady pet her and asked about pit bulls. What a wonderful ambassador! We hiked / walked the trails for about 4 miles and Kiki showed me that she is nimble, agile and built for a steady pace while staying engaged in her environment. She is the perfect friend to take along as she keeps a smile on her face while you talk to her about your day. She’s an amazing friend! We stopped by a park to enjoy the open grassy area in the afternoon sun. as we were walking a mom with two young sons asked to pet Kiki. She was a little aloof at first, then turned and pressed her body into the mom as if to say hello. She was so calm and polite as the mom explained to her young sons how to approach and pet other people’s dogs. I was so proud of her!!! Before we left the park Kiki discovered the playground! This is when she showed interest in the slide, I let her investigate it and the fun began! Oh my goodness, I’m not sure who was having more fun… she went back up multiple times to slide back down and I laughed each time!!! Kiki is a girl who truly Carpe Diem!! Kiki is a confident girl who appreciates calm polite energy around her and she returns it ten times over. She is searching for a home where she is the only pet however she has a personality that will surely be enough for the whole family to love! She is athletic, loves to run, hike, be outdoors with her people! Kiki is ready to live life… TODAY! Her Animal ID# is A3965942 Please be sure to take her ID number with you when coming down to meet, so that staff can locate her. If you would like a volunteer to meet you there to help with intros, please email the rescue. info@underdogaz.com Please visit MCACC's website http://www.maricopa.gov/pets/locations.aspx for hours and detailed location information.
