verifiedPosted Breed: Pekingese / Pomeranian / Mixed (long coat). Please contact Paula (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information about this pet. Little Miss Sadie was turned into a municipal shelter when her elderly owner was no longer able to take care of herself, or her beloved pet. This little girl has spent her entire life as a devoted companion. And now she finds herself homeless. Sadie is looking for a quiet retirement home, a soft bed and a warm environment to spend her Golden Years. She's sixteen years old and just wants a quiet life, a lazy life, preferably with a woman. The shelter had her for several weeks, and honestly didn't know what to do with her. Who would want an old dog like that? Thankfully, one of our wonderful volunteers spotted her and we were able to pull her from her life on a cold cement floor and bring her into foster care (heated tile floors, soft bed, good quality food). She is surprisingly active for her age; she does show signs of arthritis in her back hips. She probably wouldn't do well in a home with lots of stairs. We know there is the right home out there for Sadie, who will treasure her final years, and when she's ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge, will be right there with her. If you would like to complete our Adoption Application, please do so! Be sure to put the animal's name and ID number at the top of the application and save the document to your computer. verifiedPosted Breed: Pomeranian / Pekingese / Mixed (medium coat). Felix is a black PekaPom and weighs about 18 pounds. He came into rescue when he was found as a stray and it was learned his owner died and the family did not want him. No age is given on his vet record, but my educated guess is 6 to 8 years. In the beginning, Felix was confused and sad, which is understandable, but he has adjusted well and is ready to find his new forever home. His rescuer mentioned Felix seemed to prefer men over women. There are no men here, so I can't verify that. Felix is a happy and bashful boy. He loves his bed and a good chew. Felix gets along well with other dogs and cats too. He was housetrained upon arrival, but might need a brief period of adjustment when he gets back into a home. Felix is neutered, fully vaccinated and on monthly heartworm and flea preventive. Felix's adoption fee is a tax deductible donation to the rescue in the amount of $350.Tags:

verifiedPosted Breed: Pekingese / Pomeranian / Mixed (medium coat). Hi! My name is Sweet Pea and I just turned 5 years old on December 18th. I am a 13 pound, Peke/Pom mix. I have a great smile and warm brown eyes. I am quite adorable. The rescue believes I am a little bit feral and need an experienced owner. Someone who is familiar with rehabilitating "broken" dogs. PNC is still learning all about me because I am so new. Please check back for updates. 8/1/17-Update from her foster mom: Sweet Pea has made a great deal of progress but she will still need an experienced dog owner to continue to work with her. We are working on her fear of new people. I recently discovered she is afraid of storms (Just wants to be in the same room as her bonded person). She loves her meal time and runs up and down the hallway until I put her bowl down. She loves to de-stuff all the ne w toys and loves to carry them around. When she's afraid, she sometimes will bark/growl at whatever is scaring her. She gets along with all the cats and dogs (even the big dogs) and has taken some cues from Bear (My big 80 lb mix). She will jump baby gates, so we have modified them. When the house is quiet and dark, her favorite spot is sleeping on my pillows. Despite all the heartache she has experienced, Sweet Pea has kindest soul and deserves a furever family of her own. My adoption donation is $ 300 + Tax $ 20.63. All dogs are current on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and on preventative, micro-chipped and if recommended by a Vet, have had a dental cleaning and other treatment to get and keep them healthy while in the rescue’s care. All dogs are living in foster homes and house manners, including potty training and any behavioral issues are being worked on. But we never say our dogs are 100% house- trained as when they transition to a new home there can be accidents while they adjust to a new environment and schedule. PNC Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit and any and all donations over and above the adoption donation are tax deductible. We have a large group of dogs in our Furever Foster program that acts as a foster based sanctuary for dogs not likely to be adopted. The rescue keeps these dogs healthy, comfortable and on necessary medications with necessary treatments for life. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via email, firstname.lastname@example.org and remember we are all volunteers. Your patience is appreciated!Tags:

verifiedPosted Breed: Pomeranian / Pekingese / Mixed (long coat). This little guy was abandoned in a vacated condominium for more than 5 days until a Real Estate Broker came to his rescue and contacted Marley's for help. ZinnaZu is a Pekingese/Pomeranian x, about 5 years old (DOB: 2/12/11)and weighs 12 lbs. Zinn-a-Zu was named after the little bird in the Dr. Suess book because his bark is more like a chirp. ZinnaZu will do best in a home with breed experience and no children under the age of twelve. The adoptions process is as follows: The application can be found on our website www.pitstoprescue.com Please complete and submit the application so we can determine if it is a good match for all. A Sniff and Whiff will be arranged. Please include a brief description of your home situation and what characteristics you would like in a dog companion. The adoption fee is $350 and covers: All vaccines, micro-chip, deworming, spay/neuter & rabies.
