Cookie – Toy Poodle female, special needs. youtu.be/7mD--6okoEE youtu.be/Dh0llmGej9A youtu.be/rTI1V0JU-JU She is quiet, loving and very well behaved. She is about 7 lbs. We don’t know how she was injured to cause her rear leg paralysis but we do know that she was dumped at a shelter by her owners as they no longer wanted to care for her disability. We did find out later that it was an old spinal disc extrusion. We did have surgery done on her but it did not make a difference as the problem had gone ignored byt the old owners for so long. But we did try to help fix it. This doesn’t slow her down one bit. She has a little pink cart that she speeds around in. Our adoption fee through our rescue covers the dog being fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered, dewormed and flea treated. Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy) (long coat). Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 8/11/2018 Reason for being in rescue: Patty was abandoned at a grooming salon in TN. When they reached out for help, CPR said yes. Foster location: Foster Home In Rocky Mount, NC Special Needs? none noted Weight: 9.5 lbs Height: in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Patty would do well in a quiet home. She needs another dog in the home for comfort and guidance. She would really love a home that would also welcome her friend Gigi, but it is not a requirement. What is my personality like? Patty - affectionately known as Patty with the big teeth - is a sweet girl who can be a little shy when she first meets you. As you can see from the photo, Patty has a precious tooth grin that she greets everyone she meets with. Don't let those big teeth fool you - miss Patty wouldn't harm a flea! Patty enjoys being a lap dog in her foster home. She will occasionally play and engage with the other dogs, but generally enjoys resting and snuggling with her foster mom. Patty will make a great companion for someone looking for a quiet dog to sit with during the day and snuggle with at night. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Patty will make a great companion and lap pet for someone living a quiet life and looking for a princess to dote on. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

She's 10 pounds of sweetness who loves to snuggle up with a fellow foster pup to sleep. In fact, Ginny is really good with dogs of all sizes and has been nothing but respectful of the resident cat in her foster home. We're not sure yet if she needs another dog in her forever home, but she'll definitely do well if there is one. Ginny is agile and has no problem jumping up and down off the couch for naps. She also enjoys roaming the backyard. She'll need a fenced yard in her forever home because Ginny loves that freedom and she's not leash trained. Ginny consistently goes outside to go potty - she even knows the command, "outside," - but she has had a few indoor accidents in her foster home. Those accidents should subside as she gets more used to her surroundings. Ginny is really good in her car crate and doesn't bark at all on the go. In fact, she is generally quiet all around and doesn't bark much. Ginny will be a fun, friendly addition to the right home. Is it yours? Visit Ginny at an upcoming adoption event or schedule a personal meet and greet with her foster family. I’m Genevieve. I’m 10 for 10 - 10 years old and 10lb of Poodle with loads of energy. I enjoy roaming/exploring inside and out. I will lay next to you on the couch and will sleep on the couch or on a blanket on the floor. I also enjoy any and all treats. I have only had a few accidents in the house and ride well crated in the car. I only go out in a fenced in yard and since I freeze up on a leash, I will need a fenced in yard. I will need lots more leash practice. I am learning a command for ‘outside’. I am quiet and rarely bark. I do just great with all friendly dogs and even like lying next to the resident Poodle. I’m a sweet girl with a very friendly demeanor looking for my very best furever home. Plan to come and meet me today! Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy) (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 175.00. Meet DIAMOND! He LOVES to meet new people and is good with cats and dogs. He also loves hanging out in the yard and taking in the breeze -- a secure fenced-in yard where he could hang out would be his dream! He does wear a belly band while in the house just in case he tries to mark something, but otherwise he is housebroken! This little guy doesn't have many teeth left so he usually eats meals with some soft food mixed in. He's a lover and just wants to cuddle and be loved. He roams on and off to explore but comes back a few minutes later to lay next to someone again. Do you have room in our heart to adopt this handsome gent forever? It will take you 2 seconds after meeting him to fall in LOVE! DIAMOND, 9, Toy poodle People-friendly: Loves meeting strangers Dogs: Good! Cats: Doesn't mind them! Crate trained: Doesn't use one in current home, so he would need slow intros. Potty trained: Yes, but he does wear a belly band inside the house just in case he gets the urge to mark something. Likes: Loves being outside! Special skills: Hypnotizing you in with his puppy-dog eyes! Our adoption fee is $175. Discount available for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies, distemper and bordetella), HW test, blood panel, a microchip and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal. You can apply to adopt at .greyfacerescue/adoption-application CAN'T ADOPT, BUT STILL WANT TO HELP? Sign up to SPONSOR an adoption fee this month! By sponsoring a senior’s fee, you give that animal an opportunity to find their forever home! Note that our adoption process will NOT change and we will still require an applicant to successfully complete the same steps as always. But your generosity will help bring in potential adopters for those animals who may have been overlooked due to age, condition or veterinary investment. My name is Hugh. I’m an adult toy poodle and I weigh 8 pounds. I am still very shy and unsure of people. I like to make sure I can always see my foster mom, but I’m not yet sure I want her to see me. I am scared of people. People sometimes get so excited to see me but lots of overwhelming commotion is scary to me. I am learning though. Every single day I get more and more brave. I do like other dogs though and I love my foster brothers and sisters. I think they understand me so easily. It is fun to snuggle with them. I do also sometimes snuggle with my foster mom, but only if she initiates it. Like I said, I’m not quite sure about things so for now I let the humans take the lead. If she comes and gets me though I do really like to cuddle in her lap. I haven’t met any children so am not sure how I feel about them. I also really like bully sticks and raw bones. Oh and did I mention food? It is so yummy. In fact, my very favorite time of day is Breakfast and Dinner. And I have even been known to do a cute little prayer dance while I am waiting for my food to be served. I also have extra good dog hearing especially when it comes to the opening of a treat bag! No fear there humans! I will hear it no matter how far away it might be! Although I am an adult, living this good life with my foster family is new so I’m not 100% potty trained quite yet. I do, however, do really well when I am on a schedule. So if you have patience to help me with a schedule I just know I’ll be good. I’m a very good learner. In fact, I already know “leave it” and “go potty”. I’m not leash trained yet either. The leash and collar can be very scary! I am practicing, but I think I need more. My foster brothers and sisters tell me there is this thing called a walkie and that it is really fun, but I’m still not sure. Because I’m still scared of things a fenced in yard might be best for me. My foster mom keeps telling me that I am a very good boy. In fact she says I’m absolutely adorable and I couldn’t agree more. Every day I get better and better. I have a very sweet and silly personality and the more I learn to trust people and learn how fun it can be to be a dog, the happier I will be. Would you like to join me on my journey? I’m Truman. As you can see by my very handsome face, I am a senior Toy Poodle Mix. I am about 10 years old and 7 pounds. I really just love to cuddle. I enjoy being with my humans so very much. I will follow you around all the time so that I know where you are. I also like to play with my foster brothers and sisters. One is a small dog and two are cats. They are pretty fun to follow all over too. I’m not quite potty trained yet, but I know that it’ll get easier. I’m also working on the leash training so having a fenced in yard might be fun, but it is not necessary. Like I said, I’m working on the leash and am doing well on it. I like walkies, but right now I get tired pretty fast. If you are home most of the time, I’d be okay to be your only furkid. But, if you aren’t home all day, I might need another dog. I tend to bark when I’m alone. I just really like being with others. Attention is so important to me. As you age, you know, you learn about the things that are important and I’ve learned that love is critical for a good life. So I yearn to soak up as much as I possibly can. Bottom line is that I am an awesome cuddle bug and when I learn to trust you, I will want to be with you all the time. I will be next to you often and I am easy to carry because I’m small. If you’re learning, like me, that love is great—I might be the man for you. Don’t let my senior age discourage you because I’m a cuddle love bug that has loads and loads to offer! What do you say? Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: .underdogrescuemn/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at .underdogrescuemn/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website .underdogrescuemn/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy). Annie is a superstar! This so so sweet and loving little girl came to us along with her family as one of our Orphaned Fourteen. Annie is very sweet and gentle. She would love nothing more than to snuggle on the lap of her new best friend. She loves all people big and small, and we think this gorgeous fluffy girl would be perfect in almost any family. We don't have the paperwork, but according to a friend of Annie's original owner, Annie is a purebred poodle. She is also certainly pure of heart! Come meet this amazing dog and don’t miss out!

Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy). Welcome poodle mix Jesse! He is one of our Lucky Fourteen! This group of fourteen dogs came to us after their owner suddenly died. We were happy to step up and bring all fourteen dogs to San Francisco to find new homes. These dogs are all sweet, friendly, loving, and well socialized. They also lived with a cat in their previous home. They came to us in need of a good grooming, but these dogs are so grateful we are sure they were well loved in their past lives. Come quickly to meet Jesse! We don’t think these wonderful dogs will be looking for homes for long!
