My name is Hugh. I’m an adult toy poodle and I weigh 8 pounds. I am still very shy and unsure of people. I like to make sure I can always see my foster mom, but I’m not yet sure I want her to see me. I am scared of people. People sometimes get so excited to see me but lots of overwhelming commotion is scary to me. I am learning though. Every single day I get more and more brave. I do like other dogs though and I love my foster brothers and sisters. I think they understand me so easily. It is fun to snuggle with them. I do also sometimes snuggle with my foster mom, but only if she initiates it. Like I said, I’m not quite sure about things so for now I let the humans take the lead. If she comes and gets me though I do really like to cuddle in her lap. I haven’t met any children so am not sure how I feel about them. I also really like bully sticks and raw bones. Oh and did I mention food? It is so yummy. In fact, my very favorite time of day is Breakfast and Dinner. And I have even been known to do a cute little prayer dance while I am waiting for my food to be served. I also have extra good dog hearing especially when it comes to the opening of a treat bag! No fear there humans! I will hear it no matter how far away it might be! Although I am an adult, living this good life with my foster family is new so I’m not 100% potty trained quite yet. I do, however, do really well when I am on a schedule. So if you have patience to help me with a schedule I just know I’ll be good. I’m a very good learner. In fact, I already know “leave it” and “go potty”. I’m not leash trained yet either. The leash and collar can be very scary! I am practicing, but I think I need more. My foster brothers and sisters tell me there is this thing called a walkie and that it is really fun, but I’m still not sure. Because I’m still scared of things a fenced in yard might be best for me. My foster mom keeps telling me that I am a very good boy. In fact she says I’m absolutely adorable and I couldn’t agree more. Every day I get better and better. I have a very sweet and silly personality and the more I learn to trust people and learn how fun it can be to be a dog, the happier I will be. Would you like to join me on my journey? Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy) (short coat). My name is Sooty from Korea and I am a wonderful 4 year old Female Black Toy Poodle I am only 8 lbs. and so excited to find my forever home soon. I am a very happy, affectionate and friendly dog who was just saved from being SOLD to the Dog Meat Dealer to be butchered up for food. I was fed garbage and rotten food and I was supposed to be made into soju elixer. Sadly my mom went to the meat market and it was too late to save her. Korea is so overloaded with dogs roaming all over the streets with no food, love or care and many have been tied up since birth. I am so lucky to get a one way ticket to come to Seattle to find a new forever home! Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your very best friend. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids and other dogs. I need a home with a fenced in yard and will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of exercise, love and affection! On all overseas adoptions our pet rescue dog trainer will be required to come to your home and help train with your new puppy for only $ 65. My adoption fee of $995. Will cover my Spay, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Grooming, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate, and AIRLINE TRNASPORT COST from KOREA to SEATTLE. The adoption fee is firm and helps cover the medical expenses of our other rescue dogs in need of orthopedic surgery, urgent vet care, dental and teeth extractions, cherry eye removals and more. Donations are always appreciated to help us pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet. Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non profit 501 C 3 organization

Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy) (long coat). There will be a phone interview and a screening process. As I will want to make sure that you are the right person for the particular pup, you will also want to make sure I am the rescue you want to do business with. My references are the Better Business Bureau, Lodi Animal Shelter, Pals in Lodi Ca, Pacific Veterinary Hospital in Stockton Ca, Vineyard Vet in Lockeford Ca. You can also read about my accomplishments in the notes on my Pups Rescue Facebook page Ernie is around 2.5 years old. He came from a very abusive environment and it was a man who abused him, but he loves men anyway. He also likes cats and female dogs. He does not shed, he's housebroken, loves sitting in your lap and is a total lap dog. He also loves sleeping in your bed. He weighs about 15 lbs and is full grown. He has had his vaccines and has been neutered and has a micro chip. He purrs and purrs in different tones. Very unique!. He has the ears of an "ewok" and has Poodle hair. He is located in Copperopolis. If you are interested in adopting him, call Marilyn at 209-956-3004 for a phone interview. YOU MUST CALL FIRST, SENDING AN EMAIL FIRST WILL DELAY THE ADOPTION PROCESS. You must be at least 25 years old to adopt a puppy from this organization. I do not adopt puppies out to families with toddlers, and that could be the reason I will not return your call. Another one of our requirements is that whoever is interested in adopting the pup, will also be the one who stays at home with the pup and the one calling. I do not ship puppies anywhere, if you want to adopt from us, you must come to pick up the pup. Pups Rescue's adoption fees range from $200-$400. Please leave a message, as all calls are screened. This is a residence, please do not call after 9:00 P.M. We will not ship puppies, you must come to our location

Posted Breed: Poodle (Toy) (long coat). Jet is an adorable black toy poodle, born 3/31/17. He was born and raised in a commercial breeding kennel, intended for use as a stud dog, but the breeder decided to downsize the number of males and Jet was surrendered to rescue. He is EXTREMELY shy, and will run from you, but once he's caught he makes no attempt to bite. Because he is so shy, he will not be placed in a home with small children. He would do best with a patient, experienced adopter who can show him how to be a lap dog and enjoy hands instead of running from them. When he was surrendered, Jet was extremely matted and it was obvious that he had never been groomed. He has now been to the groomer and been clipped down for the summer. Pictures of what he looked like before his grooming are available - just ask. He behaved very well for the groomer, who fell in love with him (but she already has 3 dogs, so...) Jet has been neutered, heart worm tested (negative), brought up to date with vaccinations, wormed, microchipped and dosed with Revolution for flea and heartworm prevention. He weighs 11 pounds 9 ounces. His adoption fee is $250

I’m Truman. As you can see by my very handsome face, I am a senior Toy Poodle Mix. I’ve been with my foster family for a very short time, but I am learning very quickly. I really just love to cuddle. I enjoy being with my humans so very much. I will follow you around all the time so that I know where you are. I also like to play with my foster brothers and sisters. One is a small dog and two are cats. They are pretty fun to follow all over too. I’m not quite potty trained yet, but I know that it’ll get easier. I’m also working on the leash training so having a fenced in yard might be fun, but it is not necessary. Like I said, I’m working on the leash and am doing well on it. I like walkies, but right now I get tired pretty fast. If you are home most of the time, I’d be okay to be your only furkid. But, if you aren’t home all day, I might need another dog. I tend to bark when I’m alone. I just really like being with others. Attention is so important to me. As you age, you know, you learn about the things that are important and I’ve learned that love is critical for a good life. So I yearn to soak up as much as I possibly can. Bottom line is that I am an awesome cuddle bug and when I learn to trust you, I will want to be with you all the time. I will be next to you often and I am easy to carry because I’m small. If you’re learning, like me, that love is great—I might be the man for you. Don’t let my senior age discourage you because I’m a cuddle love bug that has loads and loads to offer! What do you say?
