Description
Dog Breed: Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Mama Rosa — a gentle sweetheart ready to give you all her love Mama Rosa is a small mixed black Labrador Retriever with the kindest heart and the softest spirit. Born in November 2018, this senior girl is pure sweetness wrapped in a petite package. Her tail is almost always wagging, and she greets everyone with warmth, love, and quiet joy. Mama Rosa adores her little toys, enjoys easy, relaxed walks, and is wonderfully gentle on leash. She loves belly rubs and affection, and one of her favorite things is eagerly waiting in her kennel to greet you and give love — her devotion is truly heart-melting. She may be a Lab mix, but she’s on the smaller side, making her a perfect fit for someone looking for a calm, loving companion. Mama Rosa would thrive in a peaceful home or foster environment where she can feel safe, cherished, and appreciated for the beautiful soul she is. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle friend who will fill your home with love, Mama Rosa is ready to meet you.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
