Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Born 11-15-2021 Buck was found in the country near a highway, along with a black lab Maggie who found her home. He is super people friendly and gentle. Buck has really become a stout gorgeous adult dog. He doesn't get along with male dogs that have an attitude but plays with all female dogs. Buck is learning basic obedience commands. He learns quickly but will need to have a firm human leader. He is a large dog and has yard escape capabilities, but loves being an inside dog. He is a big baby and is motivated by his love of toys. He rides well in a car. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
