Description
Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier (short coat). Meet Dany! She is looking for a new forever home. Dany is a 6 year old, 50lb, absolutely adorable gal. Dany is very energetic and has the best pittie wiggle butt! Dany loves to cuddle and absolutely loves play time! Unfortunately, she can no longer thrive in her current home, as they have kitties and Dany doesn't do well with small animals. She completed an 8-week behavior mod training program a couple years ago and her trainer can give more information if you're interested in learning more. Dany is looking for a loving, safe and playful home with no small pets or children. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and is crate trained. Dany has had plenty of professional training and will do anything for treats, specifically cheese! She gets along with male dogs that are bigger than her and we are happy to do a meet & greet with any potential adopters' dogs. She has gotten along with a couple of her trainers' male dogs. Dany is currently located in San Diego. The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a robust and intelligent breed, originating in the United States from crossbreeding Old English Terriers and Old English Bulldogs for dog-fighting purposes. Physically, they are medium-sized, known for their muscular build, broad heads, and powerful jaws, typically weighing between 30-60 pounds. Their coats are short and come in a wide array of colors. Temperamentally, a well-socialized APBT is often described as loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented, displaying a playful and sometimes clownish demeanor. They can be excellent family companions, provided they receive consistent training and early socialization, though their high energy levels mean they thrive with active owners. While they can adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, a house with a secure yard is often preferred. Notable health considerations include a predisposition to hip and elbow dysplasia, allergies, and certain heart conditions.
