Posted Breed: American Bulldog. Adoption Fee: 200. This adorable girl was spotted running loose all over Pensacola, especially around Olive Road. You could tell she'd recently had puppies and had a collar with a big bow on it, so surely someone was missing her, right? Well after some drama, our rescue took her in for her stray hold. We couldn't believe no one came forward to claim this sweet girl, who clearly had been cared for previously. We named this pretty short legged bully Latisha. Latisha weighs 59 pounds and is about 2 years old (est. DOB 9/9/2021). Latisha is now spayed and is heartworm negative. Latisha is housebroken, crate trained, loves toys, other dogs, and car rides! Since Latisha is a medium sized dog, so we like to recommend a home with a fenced in backyard and/or plans for daily exercise and socialization. Latisha would love to be in a Foster home if you're not ready to adopt! Amazing Grace Bully Rescue is a foster based rescue in the Pensacola, Florida area. We do not have a physical building. Overview:
Originally used in the 17th century for bull baiting—a wagering sport in which dogs fought bulls in a ring—Bulldogs had taller, more athletic frames (much like the Olde English Bulldogge). When bull baiting was outlawed in 1835, Bulldogs were bred to be kinder, heavier and more relaxed. However, American Bulldogs—which were brought to the U.S. before this breeding pattern—retained the size and strength of the original Bulldogs. Great family dogs, American Bulldogs are sweet to children. They love family-oriented occasions and want to be involved. With proper training and socialization, you’ll find them outgoing and exceedingly loyal. Some American Bulldogs will go to great lengths to protect their masters. Tough and determined, American Bulldogs have an impressive stamina and strength. They are always game for playtime in the back yard or working in the field.
