Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Meet Eli! Eli came to us from San Felipe Dog Rescue in Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. He is around 8 years old, weighs 47 lbs., and is very sweet and gentle. Eli is currently living in a Foster home while receiving treatment for heartworm, and he is doing great! His Foster Mom shares: "Eli has been a breeze. He’s an incredible eater, takes his pills like a champ, and zero potty accidents. He drinks a ton of water so I was sure he’d have an accident over night but I was wrong! He is a sweet gentle soul. I can’t wait for him to start feeling better. Eli has met all different types of people (men, women, and kids) with no issues and animals (big and small dogs and cats). He does enjoy walking around in a calm environment (somewhere quiet or in the yard). Eli is always calm and a perfect gentleman. Once he knows you. he likes to be with you. He seems a little weary of new people, but never with fear aggression. He just needs a little time to warm up. Eli really wants to be with his people but he’s not pushy or demanding. Zero seperation anxiety. Eli is as an angel. He is a cuddle and nap specialist! He’s such a mellow easy going dog and would be fitting for any home!"
