Posted Breed: Chihuahua. Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application Mimi is a young female Chihuahua who came to our rescue very pregnant. Her pups have since been adopted and now its her turn to find her furever family. She can be a bit shy at first but once she warms up she is your best buddy. Full of kisses and follows you everywhere. She is doing very well with her crate training and has been started on leash training. With a good schedule I'm sure her training will go well in her new home. She would need to meet any potential new pet siblings. No small children. Mimi is up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines, tested for heartworm negative and now current on preventatives. Microchipped and spayed. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers.
