Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Trotter was found roaming the streets. After three weeks, he was caught. He is deaf with a Merle eye, meaning that he has limited vision. He's walks on a leash really well. He has beautiful eyes and is a very sweet guy who seems to prefer women. Trotter is very affectionate with his person/people and loves to show his belly for rubs. This handsome guy is animal friendly with both cats and dogs; however, due to his limited vision, Trotter prefers gentle playmates that won't be up in his face. Trotter is working on following commands and is getting the hang of taps and sign commands; he is so eager to please. While Trotter is almost completely deaf and has limited vision, don't let that fool you! He gets around with no issue and loves to play and cuddle. This gorgeous hunk is currently in Arizona City, and we are happy to meet anywhere for interested parties. Adoption fee is $150

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
