We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. Please meet Suzy! Suzy is a feisty little senior girl, who has finished treatment for heartworm. She is now ready for adoption. Suzy is about 11 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines, she has completed her heartworm treatment. Suzy has developed cataracts and is going blind. We believe she has limited sight. She enjoys a lap and snuggling with other pups. Please let me know what questions you may have about Suzy or apply to adopt if you have the perfect retirement home for Suzy!

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
