Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Meet sweet Juni! Juni had a litter of puppies in April '23 and was a wonderful mama. Her pups are grown, she's been spayed, and she's ready to find her forever home! Juni comes from a bit of a rough start and requires a supportive home that will nurture her. Once she trusts you, she is the most loving, sweet dog you'll ever meet. She is full of husky hugs and kisses, and loves to play! Juni is good with other dogs of a similar size, but needs a home without cats or other types of animals. She also needs a securely fenced yard. The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy.
