Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Jupiter has a smile thatâs truly out of this world - and he flashes it all the time because heâs just so happy to be around people! This handsome boy is playful, energetic, and full of the zoomies, but he also has a sweet side and would happily be a big lap dog if given the chance. Jupiter is highly food and treat motivated, which makes him a quick learner. He already knows how to sit and is sure to pick up more commands in no time. He loves toys - especially rope toys - and is a big fan of playing tug-of-warâ¦though heâs also been known to entertain himself by tossing them around solo. This friendly boy enjoys can be really affectionate with people (though he needs time to warm up to new people at first)! He's also shown himself to be playful with other dogs. He would probably thrive with a doggy playmate in his forever home. Jupiter is looking for someone who can keep up with his energy, share plenty of treats and playtime, and give him the love and attention he deserves. Could you be the one to launch Jupiter into the happiest part of his life?

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
