Description
Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Lainey aka cuddle bug, an approximately 1yr old terrrier mix. She is completly housebroken, crate trained and knows basic commands like sit and down. She is learning how to walk nicely on a leash and ignore all those pesky squirrels, chipmunks and other types of fun things to chase. Lainey loves to play with stuffed squeaky toys and enjoys zoomies around the yard. Her happiest is snuggled right up next to her person or people! She is a low to medium energy dog who loves being right next to her people. Her perfect home would be one without cats( only because she loves to chase them) . She is dog selective so a meet and greet with with current dog is a must. Lainey had a rough start to life coming into her foster home very skinny and afraid but is learning quickly the joys of being a dog and the world isnt always a scary place. Her adoption will include a 1hour private IN HOME TRAINING SESSION. Teaching her new family how to continue training her to live her best dog life. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
