Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. There has never been a dog more loyal than Buster Brown. He adores the people in his life and is waiting patiently to join you at his forever home. He is a very silly boy who is guaranteed to make you laugh. He is always up for belly rubs and has an extremely sweet disposition. Buster Brown is 3 years old and weighs 61 pounds. Buster Brown does well with adults and children over 12 years old, but it is unknown how he feels about cats. He can be selective when meeting a new dog, so slow introductions are recommended. Buster Brown is both crate and house trained. He also walks nicely on leash and has mastered basic obedience. Continued training is recommended as Buster loves to learn. He would excel in nosework and possibly even lure coursing. Complete your family by bringing home this loveable boy! The adoption fee for Buster Brown is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
