Description
Posted Breed: Bichon Frise. How to Adopt Seamus Is An Adorable 4 Month Old Bichon Frise Relinquished From A Puppy Mill. Seamus and his siblings arrived on the Eve of St Paddy's Day hence he bears his name i honor of the holiday. He is a touch shy but will quickly warn up when he feels safe and will blossom when he is in his permanent home, Like most mill dogs he was not socialized, cuddled and handled like puppies his age would normally would, He understands dogs better than people. In foster care, he has learned that people can be pretty nice and cuddles are pretty awesome! He will do well with another gentle companion dog or as a single dog. Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training. Seamus is fully vetted, He has been neutered, has received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption donation is $1200.00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in 100% for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY. PUPPIES NEED TO BE LET OUT TO POTTY OFTEN, THEY NEED SOCIALIZATION AND BONDING AND NEED TRAINING (HOUSETRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING). IF YOU WORK LONG HOURS, HAVE A BUSY SOCIAL SCHEDULE OR NOT FINANCIALLY SECURE THEN A PUPPY IS NOT FOR YOU. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits, If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate to adopt Seamus please fill out an application for him adoption on our website at: .rescuetailsanimalwelfare/info/aoption We are all volunteers with full time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us at: RescueTailsAnimalWelfaregmail. f you aren't looking to adopt, but still would like to help Seamus please consider a donation for his food, housing, and veterinary care. Overview:
The Bichon Frise is a charming and vivacious small dog breed, often described as a "little white puffball." Originating in the Mediterranean, they were historically popular among European nobility. Physically, Bichons are characterized by their soft, curly, double coat of pure white fur, dark, expressive eyes, and a plumed tail carried over their back. Their temperament is generally affectionate, playful, and cheerful, making them excellent companions. They are known for being very sociable and thrive on human interaction, often getting along well with children and other pets, making them a superb choice for families and first-time dog owners. Due to their relatively small size and moderate exercise needs, they are also highly adaptable to apartment living, provided they receive regular walks and playtime. While generally robust, Bichons can be prone to certain health issues, including dental disease, patellar luxation, and allergies, highlighting the importance of responsible breeding and veterinary care.
