Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Shampers is a tender-hearted, shy girl who needs just a little time and patience to feel safe with new people. She's naturally curious, though, and with a slow, gentle approach, she’ll start checking you out in no time. Once she realizes you’re a friend, she’ll quietly start following along, often tagging behind her person on walks, as if she's trying to stay in the background while still enjoying your company. Loud noises can make Shampers anxious, but in our playroom, she’s beginning to find her confidence. When it comes to other dogs, Shampers really comes alive. Her playful side emerges when she feels safe, and she thrives in the presence of calm, confident dogs who help her feel secure and bring out her playful, carefree side. She looks to them for reassurance, and their companionship shows her that people and the world around her aren't as intimidating as they might seem. She might be hesitant to ask for attention at first, but once you start petting her, she won’t want you to stop! She’s a young dog, full of potential, and just waiting for the right person to show her that the world isn’t so scary after all.
