Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). This stunning boy is Justus, a Pit mix born in 2015, who came into rescue from Texas - found chained, with no fur, eyes filled with mucus, skin raging from infection from neglect and abuse, unable to use his back legs and left on a blanket to die. An MRI determined that blunt force trauma caused a fracture to his spine that was never treated. With intensive physical therapy, our strong-willed warrior with the now-gorgeous coat is running, playing and ready for a home of his own! Justus absolutely adores his humans, including older children, but needs to be the only pet in his home. And he is reactive to loud noises, so his home should be in a quiet suburb with a yard. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
