Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Jeremy (AL) is a male Terrier mix estimated to be 10 weeks old at the time of intake in late July 2024. Jeremy is up to date on core vaccinations (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. He will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Jeremy is good with people of all ages, other dogs and even cats. Jeremy came into rescue with some minor medical issues which have all been treated and have cleared up. He’s such a special boy, full of love and joy! Jeremy adores spending time with his 4 furry sisters, snuggling up for cuddles, and giving endless hugs and kisses. He’s a true sweetheart who will bring so much happiness to your life. Jeremy is crate trained and is great in the car. If you would like Jeremy to grow up with your last name, please apply online to adopt Jeremy (AL) at .rescuedogsrocknyc. His adoption fee is $575. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
