Dog Breed: Great Dane / Mixed. LOCATION: Dothan, AL DOB: 08/14/2020 DUKE is looking for a forever home! Dane mix, 5ish years old, 80lbs, neutered. Hello! My name is Duke, and I’m a charming Great Dane mix with a unique look. I was saved from the shelter just one hour before I was scheduled to be euthanized, and now I’m living my best life with my foster family. I have some old man hips that will require me to be on joint supplements. Other than that I’m a healthy boy. I enjoy living with other dogs but I am high energy so they must want to play! I do need to be fed separately because I don’t like to share my food or bowl. Ive also been living with cats! At first I was a little too excited but with slow introductions I now can coexist peacefully with them. I’m definitely a leaner and love to be by my people. If you play ball with me I’ll be your best friend! PS..I’m still learning how to play. I try and catch it with my hands but it looks like I’m supposed to use my mouth. I’m potty trained and know how to use the doggie door. I love hanging out in the backyard and sunbathing. I also love the water—playing in the hose and dunking my head in my water bucket are some of my favorite things. I’ve dipped my toes in the pool and am really interested in going in, but I haven’t quite been brave enough yet. I’m a bit hard headed and don’t like to be told what to do. I am the boss…or so I think. I need to be with an adult who can take charge and not let me get away with my occasional attitude. I need a home with no children.
