Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). INFO: The Chevy Silverado is one of the most popular trucks in America & our Silverado is a very special limited edition in search of one lucky owner! Featured only in this premium black & white model, this 4WD boy was meant for adventure. With an excellent powertrain and plenty of towing capacity, it might be best to get a good grip on the leash as heâs eager to seek out new smells & sights and could benefit from a patient âdriverâ to help him improve his leash skills. Heâs currently a ¾ ton as spending over a year at our shelter has increased his payload a bit too much. This big boy would flourish with regular exercise where he could regain his appropriate ½ ton physique. Our top recommended accessories would be a brush, some tasty low-cal treats & an available hand for bellyrubs. Please note: Experience with this breed or a solid understanding of what this breed requires is highly encouraged.

Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
