Description
Dog Breed: Terrier (short coat). Adoption Fee: 400. Online Adoption Application › Hi! I'm Yogi. I was found all wrapped up in a towel on a picnic table outside the shelter with a big ol' gash on my head. They rushed me to the vet, and it turns out I had some pretty serious head trauma. I was treated and getting better every day. After a week in the hospital, I’m feeling much better and act like a regular, goofy puppy now. I'm 7 months old now and ready to find my forever home! I love playing with other dogs. I'm super loving and playful. I do have some visual impairment issues. It's likely from my head trauma but to be honest with you it doesn't slow me down at all. Foster mama says the older I get the less it seems to affect me. Now that I'm all healed up I would really love to be adopted. Could you find a special place in your heart for me? Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
