Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). INFO: They say that good things come to those who wait. Will you be Reggie’s good thing? He’s been patiently waiting for his chance at ‘happily ever after’ since coming to us as a young stray August ’24. Reggie is sweet, charming & playful, but may need a bit of time to relax and adapt to new situations & new people. He walks pretty well on a leash, but when motivated by a squirrel or a good smell he can become a bit of a puller! He has a good mid-energy level, enjoying long walks & time chillin’ in the play yard with his favorite volunteers. He becomes more willing to accept tasty snacks, playful & even snuggly with those he knows best. He has an adorable loping gallop when he’s happy & he’ll toss toys into the air & catch them again. He went on a recent fun field trip where he did great in the car & loved playing in the shallow ocean waves. We feel Reggie may do best with a patient, dog-savvy owner in an adult-only home without a lot of people coming & going. Given a little time to settle-in to a routine in his new environment with his new humans, Reggie will blossom into a devoted best-buddy!
