Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters. Meet Nolan!! This sweet boy was abandoned at the dog park and was brought into the shelter by an officer who had found him. Nolan was pulled into rescue after being on the euthanasia list at a rural NC shelter. He is in foster care and has done remarkably well. Nolan has gone through professional "board and train" obedience training and has done well. He is active and seems to love other dogs. Nolan also loves people and has never met a stranger. He is very calm natured and isn't bothered by thunder storms or loud noises at all. Nolan wants to be by your side and he will always come looking for you after a while when outside in the yard. Nolan is estimated to be about 3-4 years old, up to date on his vaccinations, HW negative, and neutered. He LOVES car rides, people, and playing with other dogs. Poncho has high food drive, as well as high toy drive. He knows sit, down, place, leash pressure, and has great recall. He would fit well in a family with no kids (he does get very excited and may accidentally knock one of the kiddos over). Nolan is house trained and crate trained, a good eater. This boy would make a great companion for a single active person or family without small children. We recommend no cats and if you have dogs, they need to be tolerant of overzealous play. He needs someone who will be consistent in training him and will be able to spend time with him. He's a very loving dog and sweet companion.
