Description
Dog Breed: Hound / Mixed. Lower Fee!! Meet Linus, Rose, and Willow,8-month-old Hound and Lab mixes. Sisters Rose and Willow and their brother Linus are quite fetching, and they should weigh around 40 pounds when mature. Each one has his/her own distinguished coloring making each unique, so check out all three! They wear short silky coats that are oh so soft to the touch. These three get along well with other dogs, but Willow and Linus do not get along well with cats. They love to play and will definitely warm your heart and keep you amused with their silly antics. Each will make a wonderful family addition! (ME, 7/28/24) (updated 11/15/24) (updated 11/22/24) Lower Fee: $250.00

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
